TA-DA!!!😍🙌👌😁💜
I DID IT.
Be Soothed CBG/C*D Eczema Cream has been born ~
I have to admit, I was sweating this one today. There were multiple phases, temperatures that had to be just right, ingredients that had to be added at specific times, C*D crystals that did NOT want to cooperate, and more stirring, whisking and temperature checking than I care to count. 😂
But when I finally spooned this beautiful, creamy concoction into these jars, I had this overwhelming feeling of gratitude.
Maybe this is the reason why I have eczema.
Maybe part of the reason I've struggled with this miserable itching is so that I can be my own guinea pig, keep learning, keep formulating and keep trying until I create something truly extraordinary for other people who know exactly what this feels like.
And I want to make something very clear: I still LOVE my Be Smooth™ Eczema Balm and my Be Free™ Rash Cream.
Be Smooth™ gives dry, compromised skin that rich moisture barrier it desperately needs, and it helps calm my itching. Be Free™ is wonderful when I want something fast-absorbing that settles an itch quickly. They aren't going anywhere.
Be Soothed™ is something different.
With this formula, I wanted to go above and beyond. I wanted to look at eczema-prone skin from several angles and deliberately choose ingredients that could support irritated, itchy, barrier-compromised skin.
So what's inside?
🌿 CBG + C*D: H**p-derived cannabinoids selected for their skin-soothing potential. Our CBG and C*D ingredients are THC-free, so you're getting the cannabinoids we're intentionally formulating with, without THC.
🌿 PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) really intrigued me. It's a naturally occurring lipid-like compound that's been studied for its role in the body's inflammatory and itch-signaling pathways, which made it especially interesting to me for an eczema-focused formula.
🌿 Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) helps hydrate and soothe the skin while supporting the skin barrier, something eczema-prone skin desperately needs.
🌿 Bisabolol is a beautifully soothing ingredient traditionally associated with chamomile and used in skincare to help calm irritated, sensitive skin.
🌻 High-Linoleic Sunflower Oil: And this isn't just ordinary sunflower oil. I specifically chose the high-linoleic variety because it's rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that plays an important role in maintaining the skin's natural barrier. When you're dealing with extremely dry, irritated, eczema-prone skin, supporting that damaged barrier is a huge part of what I'm trying to accomplish.
And then there is colloidal oatmeal, beef tallow, shea butter, evening primrose oil, glycerin and vitamin E, all working together to create this incredibly rich, creamy formula.
Right now, these jars are sitting on my counter cooling. I'm waiting patiently (which you all know is not my strongest skill 😂) until everything is completely cool so I can check the final pH.
And then?
Aunt Be is the first test subject.
My eczema has been absolutely miserable lately, so I'm going to document what happens when I start using Be Soothed™ on my own skin.
This is still a test formulation. I'm not making promises and I'm not calling it a miracle. I want my own skin to tell me what I've actually made.
But looking at these jars today after everything it took to get here?
I have a really, really good feeling about this one. 💕
Sometimes the thing that makes you miserable becomes the thing that sends you looking for a better answer.
