Last night, we celebrated Guru Purnima as a meditation community. ✨🌝✨

This occasion is always a highlight of my year and leaves my heart feeling so full.

What is Guru Purnima?

Guru: teacher
Purnima: full moon

Guru Purnima is an opportunity to honor the teachers and teachings, in all forms, that have supported our growth, brought clarity, and guided our evolution.

We celebrate it on the full moon because its light symbolizes the illumination we receive from our teachers. It’s a time to reflect on the past year, acknowledge how we’ve grown, and recommit to our continued expansion.

It’s also a time to celebrate our Vedic Meditation practice, a technique that makes us self-sufficient in our evolution by continually reconnecting us to the deepest part of ourselves.

We began the evening with a ceremony of gratitude, where each meditator offered a flower and made a boon for the year ahead. This boon, or wish, is meant to benefit both the individual and the collective.

Then we meditated together, shared in a beautiful group discussion, and enjoyed delicious desserts to symbolize the sweet and fruitful guidance we’ve received from our teachers.

It is also recommended to spend time in the moonlight on Guru Purnima. The “Soma Chandra”, or spiritual quality of the moon, is said to have a deeply auspicious and healing effect on this night.

I feel so fortunate to be able to host these events for our community. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up and say yes to growing together.

This gathering is open to all Vedic Meditators, so if you’d like to join us next year, I’d love to connect. 🙏🏼♥️✨

One of my favorite quotes of all time. A reminder that the people we interact with each day are not their stress or their surface-level behaviors, but something deeper than that.

When we release the tendency to judge others or criticize, we make space for more compassion and open-heartedness in our interactions. Approaching people this way also helps us see our own true Nature more clearly.

So, let’s practice kindness with each other and remember the underlying divinity, the Unified Field of Consciousness, that connects us all.

I’ve found this to be much easier with a practice like Vedic Meditation, which helps release accumulated stress, allowing us to see ourselves and the world with greater clarity.

If you’re interested in learning a technique that enriches life in this way, my next Vedic Meditation courses are July 23-26 and August 27-30. Reach out for more details! 🙏🏼♥️✨

✨Colorado Mountains Rounding Retreat: June 3-7, 2026✨

Still enjoying the afterglow of the expansive time spent with this group at .

Over the course of five days, participants practiced a technique called rounding (an extension of our regular Vedic meditation practice), which allows the physiology to de-excite and achieve very deep levels of rest. This helps the body to purify accumulated stress and feel immense amounts of bliss! It was incredible to witness the stress melt from their faces as the days progressed, and to see them step into a more awakened way of Being in the world.

Rounding Retreat Recap:
1. Our fantastic group (minus !)
2. Co-leading this retreat with my mentor, friend, and colleague was a dream come true. Endless gratitude to you, Jamey 🙏🏼♥️
3. The mountains of Red Feather Lakes embraced us ⛰️
4. Laughter was a key ingredient in our wisdom talks and group discussions 😂
5. Round and round they go 💫
6. Group walk to The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya (from a different tradition than ours, but beautiful to notice the parallels and feel the reverence in the space)
7. Our sweet animal friends on the property 😍
8. Sunshine + rain = a Colorado specialty
9. On-site greenhouse where most of our vegetables were grown 🌱
10. Greeted the sun as it rose over the mountains every morning 🌞
11. My darling husband assisted us throughout the retreat and provided endless support and good vibes 🤍
12. Feeling so fortunate to lead these retreats. Excited to see what unfolds next ☺️

Thank you to the beautiful souls who joined us and shared their vulnerability, humor, and curiosity throughout our time together. Your openness and presence made this retreat one to remember for a lifetime. Let’s do it again soon! 🤗

“The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.” ~ Rumi

It’s common to think love exists outside of ourselves, that fulfillment lies “out there,” or that a relationship will provide what we need.

With a practice like Vedic Meditation, we gradually realize that fulfillment already exists within and can’t be gained externally. From this place, we begin showing up in relationships asking, “What can I bring?” rather than “What can I get?” We become less needy and more available for a shared experience.

Rumi’s poem reminds us that as consciousness expands, our experience of love will naturally evolve.

If you’re curious to learn Vedic Meditation and explore this in your own life, let’s chat. My next courses are February 19-22 and March 26-29. 💞

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be co-hosting a Rounding Retreat at with my dear friend and colleague , from June 3-7, 2026.

Rounding is an advanced technique that amplifies the benefits of regular Vedic Meditation practice. By combining gentle yoga asanas, a simple breathing technique, and Vedic Meditation followed by a lie down, this integrated approach guides the mind and body into profound states of relaxation and accelerates the release of accumulated stress.

A Rounding Retreat offers a unique opportunity to gain deep rest and release accumulated stress equivalent to six months of twice-daily meditation. Beyond that, it’s a chance to experience heightened clarity, calm, and bubbling bliss during the retreat and long after returning home. Together, we’ll accelerate personal growth, awaken inner wisdom, and step back into life feeling renewed and expanded. All while enjoying the nurturing energy of the Colorado mountains.

Each day on retreat will unfold a little differently, weaving together rounding, wisdom talks, group discussions, delicious meals, time in nature, and personal free time. Throughout the experience, Jamey and I will gently guide you so you can simply relax and enjoy.
