Impatiens is one of the fastest-growing wildflowers. It flowers abundantly, produces seed pods that burst open at the slightest touch, and seems to move through its entire life with a sense of urgency.

Dr. Edward Bach saw this as a reflection of the emotional pattern the flower supports.

Some of us move through life the same way.

We rush from one thing to the next. We finish other people’s sentences. We become frustrated when life doesn’t move at our pace. Even when we’re “relaxing,” our minds are already on what’s next.

The gift of Impatiens isn’t about becoming slower.

It’s about discovering that you don’t have to rush to fully experience your life.

As this pattern begins to soften, you may notice more patience with yourself and others, a calmer nervous system, and an easier ability to stay present with whatever this moment is asking of you.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re constantly hurrying through your days, Impatiens may be a beautiful essence to explore.

Most of us know we should be more present.

But what if presence isn’t the goal?

What if it’s the doorway to everything you’ve been trying to access all along?

I’ve noticed that when I’m constantly living in the future, replaying the past, or caught up in my thoughts, I lose access to some of the parts of myself I value most.

When I come back to the present moment, I can:
✨ Hear what my body is trying to tell me.
✨ Access my intuition.
✨ Listen with genuine compassion.
✨ Speak with honesty and integrity.
✨ Respond instead of reacting.
✨ Feel joy while it’s actually happening.

That’s one of the reasons I created my Present Moment flower essence blend.

The flower essences are traditionally used to gently support the emotional patterns that pull us away from the present.

Presence isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about returning… one moment at a time.

When you go on a walk, how often are you actually fully present?

Not listening to a podcast.
Not mentally answering emails.
Not planning the rest of the day.

Just walking.

I know we’re all out here trying to get our 10k steps in, but lately I’ve been wondering what would happen if we put less pressure on the number… and more attention on the experience.

What if, instead of rushing through a walk, you challenged yourself to take one slow 15-minute walk where your only job was to be in your body?

To notice the light.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Let your breath slow down.
Hear the quieter part of yourself.
And notice what your body might actually need today.

Sometimes presence doesn’t come from doing more.

Sometimes it comes from slowing down enough to finally feel where you are.

Save this for the next time you need help coming back to the present moment.

How often are you physically here… but mentally somewhere else?

Maybe you’re replaying a conversation from yesterday.

Thinking about what you should have said.

Imagining a future scenario.

Rushing ahead to the next thing on your to-do list.

Or daydreaming about a life that hasn’t happened yet.

Different patterns pull us away from the present moment in different ways.

🌿 Clematis helps when your mind drifts into daydreams, fantasy, or future possibilities.

🌿 Honeysuckle supports those who find themselves living in memories, nostalgia, or what used to be.

🌿 Impatiens is for the part of us that rushes ahead, feeling impatient with the pace of life.

🌿 White Chestnut helps quiet the mental chatter that keeps thoughts looping on repeat.

The goal isn’t to force yourself to be present.

It’s to understand what keeps pulling you away.

When we can recognize the pattern, we can begin working with it more consciously.

Save this post for the next time you feel disconnected from the present moment.

Have you ever noticed how chicory grows?

You’ll often find it blooming along roadsides, field edges, and places where people pass by every day. Its bright blue flowers open in the morning sun, almost as if they’re calling out to be noticed.

In many ways, the flower mirrors the emotional pattern associated with the Chicory flower essence.

Chicory is traditionally used for those who love deeply and care deeply. These are often the people who remember birthdays, check in on friends, offer advice, help solve problems, and go out of their way to support the people they love.

But sometimes that caring can become tangled with an unspoken need to feel appreciated, needed, or reassured.

When our love is tied to expectation, we may find ourselves feeling hurt when our efforts go unnoticed, disappointed when others don’t respond the way we hoped, or resentful after giving so much of ourselves.

At its core, Chicory invites a shift from seeking love through what we do for others to remembering that love is something we already carry within us.

Its gift is the ability to care without controlling, support without rescuing, and give without keeping score.

From demanding love to giving love freely.

Relationship patterns often reveal themselves through the challenges we experience over and over again.

Maybe you find yourself over-giving, people-pleasing, attracting emotionally unavailable partners, or carrying responsibility that was never yours to begin with.

While every relationship is unique, the patterns we bring into them often aren’t.

Many of our relationship patterns were learned long ago as ways of staying safe, receiving love, or avoiding pain. The challenge is that the strategies that once protected us can also keep us stuck repeating the same cycles.

One of the things I love most about flower essences is their ability to help bring these unconscious patterns into awareness so that real change becomes possible.

Every pattern started as protection. Not every pattern still serves us.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that healing rarely looks the way I expect it to.

Sometimes it’s a practitioner, a protocol, or a breakthrough insight.

And sometimes it’s just a pot of bone broth simmering in the kitchen and a few quiet moments to care for myself.

Lately I’ve been appreciating the simple things.

Bone broth for the body. Flower essences for the heart.

Nourishment comes in more ways than one. 🤍
