Sunday Studies:

"The median age at a diagnosis the age at which half of cancer patients were older and half were younger, is:

49 years for HPV-associated cervical cancer.
67 years for HPV-associated va**nal cancer.
66 years for HPV-associated vulvar cancer.
69 years for HPV-associated pe**le cancer.
62 years among women and 59 years among men for HPV-associated a**l cancer.
62 years among women and 61 years among men for HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancers."

Cervical cancer is usually diagnosed at younger ages than other HPV-associated cancers. HPV-associated a**l and oropharyngeal cancers generally are diagnosed at slightly younger ages in men than in women.

It's important to know the risk factors for getting the HPV virus:
-weakened immune system
- multiple partners
-open wounds
-age
-personal contact

It's also important to know that just because you're diagnosed, does not mean you will develop cancer and you should panic.

In fact, it's most likely that even with a diagnosis, the body will eliminate this virus before it does any great change to your cells.

If it has already begun to change your cells (CIN 1, CIN 2, or CIN 3) you can still work with the body naturally to regress the cell changes and clear the virus from doing more harm.

There is power in understanding HPV tests. There are many different types of HPV. Some types do cause health problems. HPV infections are usually grouped as low-risk or high-risk HPV.

Low-Risk HPV: can cause warts on the a**s and ge***al area, and sometimes the mouth. Other low-risk HPV infections can cause warts on arms, hands, feet, or chest. HPV warts do not cause serious health problems. They may go away on their own, or a health care provider may remove them in a minor in-office procedure.

High-Risk HPV: Most high-risk HPV infections do not cause any symptoms and will go away within a year or two. But some high-risk HPV infections can last for years. These long-lasting infections can lead to cancer. HPV is the cause of most cervical cancers. Long-lasting HPV may also cause other cancers, including those of the a**s, va**na, p***s, mouth, and throat.

An HPV test looks for high-risk HPV (human papillomavirus) infections in women. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease. Most infections aren't serious. But some high-risk HPV infections can cause cervical and other types of cancer. Learn more.
