School may be out for the summer, but it’s a great time to start thinking about what’s next. 🎓☀️ For families supporting a loved one with intellectual and developmental disabilities, planning for adulthood often means exploring services, discussing future goals, and learning about available support options.

One option families may want to explore is Family Home Provider services. Through shared living, individuals can receive support in a family home environment while building independence, developing daily living skills, and becoming part of a home and community.

You don’t need to have everything figured out today. Starting the conversation early can help make future decisions feel a little less overwhelming and give families time to explore the options that are the best fit for their loved one.

Happy National Senior Health & Fitness Day 💙💪
Staying active is important at every age, including for adults with IDD — and movement doesn’t have to be complicated to make a positive impact. Simple stretches and exercises done right from home can help support flexibility, mobility, and overall wellness 🧘‍♂️✨

Today, we’re sharing a few easy chair stretches to try at home:
1️⃣ Seated Side Bend: Place one hand on the chair, extend the opposite arm overhead, and lean toward the supported side. Hold for 15–20 seconds, then switch sides.
2️⃣ Side Stretch: Sit in a chair, lift both arms overhead, and gently lean to one side. Hold for 15–20 seconds, then switch sides.
3️⃣ Arm Circles: Extend your arms out to the sides and make small circles forward for 15–20 seconds, then backward for 15–20 seconds.
