Get up close with first responder vehicles, specialty equipment, and other large vehicles at this free community event. The first two hours will be sensory-friendly, and attendees can also enjoy food trucks, raffle baskets, kids activities, free snacks, drinks, and sunscreen throughout the day.

Since it’s National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we thought it would be the perfect time to break down “SLP” 🗣️

SLP stands for Speech-Language Pathology, and support can look different for every individual — from communication and social skills to oral motor skills and everyday routines.

While Marpè doesn’t directly provide SLP services, we often work alongside therapists, caregivers, families, and other supports to help carry over goals and strategies into daily life.

With school winding down and summer routines starting to shift, this time of year can bring a lot of change for families ☀️ Changes in daily structure can sometimes lead to behavior challenges, and that’s where PBSS can help. We work with families to create strategies that support smoother transitions, more consistency, and more enjoyable days for everyone. Here are a few simple tips to help ease into the new season:

✔️ Keep familiar routines where you can
Consistent wake-up times, meals, and bedtime routines can help provide structure.

✔️ Talk through changes ahead of time
Trips, camps, vacations, or more time at home can feel overwhelming without preparation.

✔️ Build in downtime and calming activities
Summer days can be exciting and overstimulating. Quiet breaks can help regulate emotions and energy levels.
