This Father’s Day, our center proudly celebrates the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who are part of our community; including the many residents whose lives, wisdom, and love have helped shape generations.

We honor the stories they carry and the lasting impact they continue to make every day. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and care for these remarkable men, whose strength, guidance, and devotion have touched so many lives. We also extend our appreciation to the fathers and father figures among our team members, whose dedication, compassion, and commitment make a difference for residents and families each day.

As outdoor temperatures continue to rise, our team remains focused on preventing hyperthermia and protecting the health and well-being of our residents.

Hyperthermia occurs when the body becomes overheated and can be especially dangerous for older adults. To help keep residents safe, we encourage hydration, provide access to sunscreen and sun protection, monitor time spent outdoors, and ensure fresh water is readily available in outdoor areas. Our staff also closely monitor residents enjoying outdoor activities and take additional precautions for those who may be more sensitive to heat due to certain medications or health conditions.

By staying proactive and prepared, we can help residents safely enjoy the sunshine while reducing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

Remember: Stay hydrated, seek shade when needed, and be mindful of the signs of overheating. Together, we can make this a safe and enjoyable summer season!
