Great care in the ER doesn't happen alone, it happens because of teams like the one at Westlake. 🙌 We love seeing the ED team celebrated for the excellent work they do every day. Congrats to Kenny on such well-deserved recognition, and thank you for all you do for your patients and community! 🎉

We're excited to launch a new employee spotlight series featuring the incredible team members who make the ER at Westlake such a special place to receive care.

First up is Kenny St. Louis, RN, who has been caring for patients in our community for the past three years at Westlake and brings 14 years of nursing experience to the bedside.

Kenny loves the fast-paced nature of emergency medicine, sharing that, "There is no typical day in the emergency department. Every day is different, which is why I love it."

When he's not caring for patients, you'll find him watching movies and anime, exploring parks and beaches with his wife and kids or satisfying his self-proclaimed sweet tooth!

September is Sepsis Awareness Month.

Sepsis is a medical emergency that can progress rapidly, and early recognition makes all the difference. Every year, it affects millions of patients and remains one of the leading causes of hospital deaths nationwide.

Throughout the month, we'll be sharing information on recognizing the signs, understanding risk factors, and supporting faster, more effective care.
