Let’s get down to the nitty gritty— Aging skin!!
Getting treatments that exfoliate and build collagen is imperative for skin improvement in aging skin. It doesn’t matter what products you use, if there’s a barrier of dead skin, your product is going to lay on top of the skin instead of penetrating. That’s why treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels and microneedling are so effective— bc they get rid of those dead skin cells and make new ones! Microneedling is great bc it triggers your body’s natural healing process, stimulating new cell growth and generating collagen, which declines as we age. Chemical peels work by shedding the top layer of dead skin, which sends signals to the living cells underneath to multiply and replace the dead skin being dropped. This increases collagen production and hyaluronic acid in the skin. (Hyaluronic acid holds moisturize and keeps your skin hydrated). Though one treatment of either microneedling and chemical peels can be effective, best results are seen in a series. Microdermabrasion can also be done before microneedling or a chemical peel to yield better results. Microderm is great for exfoliation and improving skin texture, so it makes for a great add on to these treatments because it increases the depth of pe*******on. A treatment plan can consist of all three: microneedling, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion; they all have their strengths and using them together gives ultimate results!
