There’s something deeply sacred about the version of you reading this right now. ❤️

Because you didn’t become this person overnight.

You are made up of every version of you that survived.

The exhausted version.
The grieving version.
The anxious version.
The hopeful version.
The version that almost gave up but didn’t.

Every season of your life carried you here.

And that’s something worth honoring every moment of every day. ✨

Your body responds differently when it’s met with compassion. ❤️

The compassion hold is a simple somatic practice where you gently place your hands on areas of the body that feel activated, overwhelmed, or tender—offering your nervous system warmth, presence, and support.

This can help create a sense of grounding, safety, and connection in moments of stress or emotional intensity.

Sometimes healing begins with learning how to stay with ourselves gently. ✨

There’s a quiet kind of grief in realizing how hard your body has had to work just to get you here.

The tension, the shutdown, the overthinking, the hyper-awareness… none of it came from nowhere.

It came from a body that was doing its best to protect you. ❤️

What if, instead of trying to fix yourself, you started with…

🙏🏻 gratitude
🧐 curiosity
🫶 a little more gentleness toward the parts of you that learned how to survive…

You don’t have to carry shame for the ways your body kept you safe. You are strength, wisdom, and overcoming embodied. And that’s worth celebrating.

❤️❤️❤️

Safety isn’t something you think your way into.

It’s something your body recognizes.

And for many people, that recognition isn’t obvious.

Because if your system has spent a long time bracing, pushing, overriding—
“safe” doesn’t always feel calm or expansive.

Sometimes it’s much quieter than that.

It might look like:
• a slight softening in your chest
• your breath dropping a little deeper
• realizing you’re not holding yourself as tightly

Not a dramatic shift—
just a little less effort to be here.

That’s how safety often begins.

Subtle. Gradual. Easy to miss if you’re only looking for something big.

And if it feels unfamiliar, or even a little uncomfortable, that makes sense too.

Your system is learning that it doesn’t have to stay on guard in the same way.

You don’t have to force that learning.

You just have to notice what’s already there.

What feels even slightly more settled, supported, or at ease.
Start there.

Somatic practices don’t regulate you by changing your thoughts.

They regulate you by changing your state.

When you slow down enough to notice what’s happening in your body—your breath, your tension, your posture, your sensations—you’re not “fixing” yourself.

You’re signaling safety to a system that has been bracing, guarding, or holding on for too long.

Regulation isn’t about doing more.

It’s about coming back into contact with what’s already here.

And from that place… your system starts to reorganize itself.

Gently. Naturally. In its own timing.

If this resonates, save this for when you feel overwhelmed and need a way back into your body.

You don’t need to think your way out of overwhelm.

When your nervous system is activated, more analysis often just keeps you stuck in the loop. What your body is actually needing is safety.

This is where somatic practices come in.
They gently bring your attention back to the present moment—through your breath, your body, and your sensations.

And over time, that’s what builds real capacity.

Not fixing.
Not forcing.
Just support.

If you want a simple place to start, I created a free 4-minute audio you can use anytime your system feels overwhelmed.

You don’t regulate your nervous system by thinking harder.

You regulate it by including the body.

When you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in your head, your system isn’t looking for more analysis—it’s looking for safety.

Somatic practices help you shift out of survival mode by gently bringing your attention to what’s happening in ✨ your body✨ your breath✨ your sensations✨ your physical experience

Simple tools like breathwork, tapping, and mindful movement can help release stored tension, complete stress cycles, and bring your system back into balance.

Over time, this builds your capacity to stay present with what’s happening—without getting pulled into it.

It’s not about fixing yourself.
It’s about learning how to support your system in a way that actually works. 🫶- Rachael

Sometimes the signs are quiet.

A little more tension.
A little less patience.
A sense that something just feels… harder than it should.

Your nervous system speaks in subtle ways before it ever has to get loud.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, easily irritated, or just not quite like yourself—there’s nothing wrong with you.

Your body may simply be needing more support than it’s been getting.

Not more pressure.
Not more fixing.
Just more care.

Moments of slowing down.

Moments of noticing.

Moments where your body doesn’t have to brace quite so much.

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

You don’t have to force yourself into calm.

Support can start small.

And it can start right here.

This week, I’m feeling deeply grateful as our first six-week collective healing group at the Sanctuary () comes to a close. 🙏🏻

Experiences like this remind me how powerful it is when people gather with intention—to slow down, to listen inward, and to be witnessed without needing to explain or perform.

Healing doesn’t always happen through words or effort. Often, it unfolds through presence, safety, and being held in community.

Over the past six weeks, I’ve been reminded that healing is not a solo journey. When we create environments rooted in care and nervous-system safety, something softens. People reconnect with themselves. And subtle, meaningful shifts begin to take place.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to hold this kind of space, for the trust it invites, and for the reminder that collective healing matters—especially in a world that asks us to move too fast. ❤️

May we all find spaces where we can pause, breathe, and remember that we’re not meant to do this alone. ✨
