Hey friends — quick update:

I wasn’t planning on having to be out of the studio for about 3 weeks while I recover from surgery, so this recovery time definitely caught me a bit off guard. I’ll be back February 24th, and I’m already booking appointments for the end of February and March.

If you’d like to prepay your end-of-February or March appointment with a gift card, I’ll include a free aftercare (sterile saline) as a thank-you when you come in.

Totally optional, of course - but keeping a little money flow coming in really helps me cover this unexpected downtime, and I genuinely appreciate all the support more than you know.

Hey everybody — quick heads up.

I had surgery yesterday and was originally thinking I’d only be out for about a week, but it’s looking more like three weeks so I can heal properly.

This definitely bums me out (small business life 😅), but rushing back too soon could set me back even further and I can’t risk that.

I’m currently going through my appointment book and will be reaching out to everyone who has something booked or pending, so if you’re on my calendar you’ll be hearing from me shortly.

Surgery went well. I’m just pretty sore today and I’m already looking forward to getting healed up and back in the studio decorating my amazing clients.

Right now it’s looking like I’ll be able to start booking again on the 23rd, so feel free to grab a spot while availability is open.

Again, thank you for your understanding and patience.

🎁 HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE — GIVE & GET! 🎁

Now through December 20th, Red at Night is collecting non-perishable food items to help local families right here in the Brainerd Lakes area.

All donations will be brought to the Salvation Army – Brainerd Lakes Food Shelf, which provides meals and groceries to hundreds of people in our community every month.

✨ Here’s how it works:
🥫 Bring in 2 or more NON-PARISHABLE food items
→ Get $5 OFF your piercing or jewelry purchase.
🎁 Bring in 10 items or more → You’ll be entered into a drawing for a $150 Red at Night gift certificate to use toward a piercing, jewelry, or both!

Hey everyone. Recently an amazing guy, Tony Powers (yes, the tattoo artist) recently went thru a ton of losses in a very short period of time. He lost his brother, father-in-law and his uncle. Tony has always been such an amazing human being and hearing this news really hurt.

I personally knew his brother as well and everyone that knew Jason would let you know about his warmth and his amazing amazing amazing laugh that could light up an entire building.

I'm reaching out to ask my amazing clients to reach out and help Tony. He's one of the most kind human beings and it would mean a lot. Please even if it's just a small amount; it adds up and can help him keep something important that was his brothers.

Good morning!

Josh here, to say a few final words!

First and foremost, I’m grateful for the time I had working with Tyler at Red at Night. Working with one of my longtime friends, in a trade that I absolutely love and pour myself into. I’m happy that for the last 3 years or so, I got to make cool tattoos, meet new people and make memories at Red at Night. Tattooing is definitely not so much of a job for me, but more so what has became my lifestyle.

20 years of making marks on people, I’ve met and tattooed a lot of people. Some have had profound effects on me, some I’ve built friendships with. Some have offered guidance to me, while I have offered guidance and sometimes closure for a life event for the client.

Tattooing is something I hold near and dear to my heart. The more I pour into it, the more tattooing rewards me. I’m here for the long haul and I look forward to continuing to create for you all. I hope you all enjoy my space when you come to visit and I look forward to you guys seeing what Tyler has in store as he transitions Red at Night into his piercing studio.

Packing up last night had me definitely feeling a certain type of way, but it was awesome spending those last couple hours helping Tyler get the space cleaned up and in a good spot for him to finish out the old station.

With that being said, thanks for all the love and support while I was at Red at Night!
