I've been thinking about a question this week. ā€œWhat does my part actually look like?ā€

I shared some thoughts on the blog today that have challenged me in the best way.

šŸŒ€Link in bio.

What does ā€œdoing your partā€ look like for you?

This journal may just look like paper and ink to someone else, but to me it's so much more.

It's prayers written through tears. Questions I didn't know how to answer. Scriptures I've held onto when life felt uncertain. Reminders of God's faithfulness when I was tempted to forget.

This morning, as I sat and wrote, I was overwhelmed by how seen and loved I am by the Lord. He met me right where I was and spoke directly to my heart!

One of the greatest gifts journaling has given me is a place to slow down long enough to notice what God is doing. So often, He is speaking, guiding, comforting, and teaching, but I’m moving too fast to recognize it.

These pages hold evidence. Evidence that He has been faithful before. Evidence that He is still working now. Evidence that I am not walking this journey alone.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or distant from God, maybe start with a blank page. Write the prayer. Ask the question. Pour out your heart.

You might be surprised by what happens when you make room to listen.

ā€œLet all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.ā€ Psalm 62:5-8

There was a time when I thought change was mostly about wanting it badly enough.
Now I’m learning something different.
Sometimes we can genuinely want healing and still cling to the habits, patterns, and comforts that are keeping us stuck.
That's not because we're weak.
It's because change is hard.ļæ½Letting go is hard.ļæ½And what's familiar often feels safer than what's healthy.
The good news?
God isn't standing at a distance, disappointed in our struggle.
He understands it.
He knows our weaknesses.ļæ½He knows our fears.ļæ½He walks with us through the process of healing, but He also invites us to participate.
To take the next step.ļæ½To make the next choice.ļæ½To trust Him enough to loosen our grip on what isn't serving us well.
This week I've been reminded that healing isn't just something we pray for. It’s also something we cooperate with.

One thing I've learned the hard way. Is willpower is a terrible long-term plan.
If I'm relying on how motivated I feel in the moment, I'm probably going to struggle.šŸ˜
Let me be honest. When I’m tired, stressed, overwhelmed, or emotional, I usually don't make the best decisions.
That's why I've been thinking less about trying harder and more about setting myself up to succeed.
šŸŒ€What foods do I keep in the house?ļ潚ŸŒ€Do I have a plan for when stress hits?ļ潚ŸŒ€Am I making the healthier choice easier or harder?

Remember ladies, we are not helpless and we don't have to win the same battle over and over again.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is make one small change that supports the life we're trying to build.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes we pray for change, but we never change anything around us?
šŸ’ We keep the same habits.ļ潚Ÿ’ We keep the same routines.ļ潚Ÿ’ We keep the same temptations within arm's reach.
Then we wonder why we keep ending up in the same place.

Don’t let this turn into shame, but make it about recognizing that God has given us more power than we often realize.
We may not be able to control every temptation that comes our way, but we can make choices that support the healing we're praying for.

Sometimes one of the most loving things we can do for ourselves is stop putting ourselves in a position where we have to fight the same battle over and over again!

Remember, you were always made for more!

06/01/2026

For a long time, I wanted God to take away the struggle.
To make it easier.ļæ½To remove the temptation.ļæ½To change the desire.
And while I absolutely believe God helps us, strengthens us, and walks with us through every battle, I've also had to ask myself:
ā€œWhat is my part?ā€

Am I planning ahead?ļæ½Am I removing the things that trip me up? Am I making choices that support the healing I'm praying for?

God understands our weaknesses. He has compassion for our struggles, but sometimes the next step isn't asking for a miracle.
It's taking responsibility for the things we can control.

I’ve been thinking about something this week and it might not be what you think.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in the same cycle, this is for you.
I shared more on the blog today! 🩷

I really like it with angel hair cabbage!
Give it a try and let me know what you think!

If you feel stuck in this cycle…
šŸ‘‰ start strong
šŸ‘‰ fall off track
šŸ‘‰ feel frustrated
šŸ‘‰ promise to do better tomorrow
Well, you’re not alone!

But here’s what I’ve been learning. It’s not really about the food.
It’s about what’s happening underneath the moment you reach for it.
Stress.
Overwhelm.
Exhaustion.
Thoughts you don’t want to sit in.
Food just feels like the easiest answer in the moment.
But it never actually gives you what you’re looking for.
The shift isn’t trying harder.
It’s learning how to respond differently.
That’s where C.A.R.E. comes in:
šŸ”¹Catch the moment
šŸ”¹Ask what’s underneath
šŸ”¹Respond with intention
šŸ”¹Encourage yourself with truth

I created a simple guide to walk you through this step-by-step.

If you want it, just comment:

and I’ll send it to you!
