This journal may just look like paper and ink to someone else, but to me it's so much more.
It's prayers written through tears. Questions I didn't know how to answer. Scriptures I've held onto when life felt uncertain. Reminders of God's faithfulness when I was tempted to forget.
This morning, as I sat and wrote, I was overwhelmed by how seen and loved I am by the Lord. He met me right where I was and spoke directly to my heart!
One of the greatest gifts journaling has given me is a place to slow down long enough to notice what God is doing. So often, He is speaking, guiding, comforting, and teaching, but Iām moving too fast to recognize it.
These pages hold evidence. Evidence that He has been faithful before. Evidence that He is still working now. Evidence that I am not walking this journey alone.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or distant from God, maybe start with a blank page. Write the prayer. Ask the question. Pour out your heart.
You might be surprised by what happens when you make room to listen.
āLet all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.ā Psalm 62:5-8
