Skaggs Foundation Skaggs Foundation promotes exceptional health and wellness in Taney and Stone counties of Missouri.

First established in 2002, Skaggs Foundation seeks to develop philanthropic opportunities for our community to support healthcare programs, projects, and services of Cox Medical Center Branson. Through the Skaggs Legacy Grants, the Foundation also helps to provide services and education to Stone and Taney county communities.

As we wrap up our scholarships awarded for 2026, let's take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact of the Skaggs Foundation Scholarship Program in 2026. 🎓

This year, we have awarded 100 scholarships across the spring, summer, and fall semesters, investing a combined $69,750 into students pursuing healthcare degrees. 🤝

These future healthcare professionals are working hard to build careers that will change lives, and we are honored to support every single one of them. 💙

At Skaggs Foundation, we believe in supporting programs that transform lives, and K9s for Camo does exactly that. 🐾

Through the Skaggs Legacy Endowment Grant, we are proud to help fund K9s for Camo. K9s for Camo is a program that provides highly trained service dogs at no cost to veterans in Stone and Taney counties, helping them reclaim their independence and improve their overall well-being. 💙

What makes this program even more special? The service dogs are rescued and trained at the Ozark Correctional Center, where inmates develop real skills and a sense of purpose through the process, creating a cycle of healing for both veterans and the dogs they serve. 🙌

We are honored to invest in programs like K9s for Camo that are making a meaningful difference right here in our community.

In 2002, Skaggs Foundation was established as the primary funding source for Skaggs Regional Medical Center (now Cox Medical Center Branson), continuing a legacy of philanthropy that began with the founding of the area’s first hospital in 1950.

Rooted in legacy and focused on community, Skaggs Foundation proudly serves Stone and Taney counties. Named the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year by the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB, Skaggs Foundation continues to invest in health and wellness in many ways, including:

✨ Hospital improvement projects
✨ Scholarships for local students
✨ Community grants through the Skaggs Legacy Endowment

🎓 A Record-Breaking Night for Skaggs Foundation!

On May 6, we proudly awarded 66 scholarships totaling $42,750 to local students pursuing healthcare-related education—the most scholarships ever awarded at one time by our foundation!

Over 90 friends, family members, and students joined us at OTC–Table Rock Campus to celebrate this milestone and cheer on our recipients. We were inspired by past scholarship recipient and local Nurse Practitioner Hannah Forrest, who reminded students to work hard and always remember their “why.”

We also appreciate the encouraging words from Dr. Rob Griffith of OTC Table Rock Campus, who challenged students to keep showing up, take the time to shake hands, and send the thank-you notes- small actions that make a lasting impact.

We are so proud of these students and grateful to be part of their journey. 💙
