Dear friends and patients of Advanced Spine & Joint,Tragedy struck over the weekend.
Our hearts go out to the Henderson family. Haley Henderson was killed in an accident, leaving behind her husband, Colten, and their two children. The Hendersons are part of our clinic family, this loss has hit our whole community hard, and their family unfathomably harder.
If you don't know Colten, here's who he is. He's a veteran. He's a Missouri State Highway Patrolman. He is a father of two, and an all around excellent human being. He has spent his adult life standing between other people and the worst days of their lives. Now he's a widower raising two kids alone, and for once he's the one who needs someone standing with him.
We can't undo what happened. What we can do is make sure that money is not one more thing weighing on that house — that Colten can be a father right now instead of worrying about how to cover the next few months.A verified GoFundMe has been set up by a family friend:"Love for Haley's Family After the Accident" join me today in giving. $25, $50, $100 — whatever you can do. A few hundred people giving a little is what turns into real relief for that family. One note: GoFundMe will suggest adding a tip for itself at checkout. That tip is optional and you can set it to zero. Your donation to the family goes through either way.
Prefer not to give online? Stop by the front desk and we'll get your donation to the family, or mail a check made out to "MOSTA" with "Henderson Family" in the memo to: Missouri State Troopers Assn., 1729 E. Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.Two minutes. That's all this takes. Please don't set it aside to do later — click the link now, give what you can, and forward this email to someone else who would want to help.Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up.With grace and gratitude,Dr. Zach Vahldick and the team at Advanced Spine & Joint
