The Cops and Kids Shine Showdown is a high-energy, family-friendly community event that brings together car enthusiasts, local families, and law enforcement for a great cause, supporting the Gainesville/Hall County FOP Lodge 41 Georgia Foundation’s Cops & Kids Programs.

It all started in 2025 when car enthusiasts AJ Zurzolo with North Atlanta Customs and Ryan Clay with Clays Motorsports Tint & Paint Protection, both passionate about giving back to their community, approached the Foundation with the idea of hosting a car show fundraiser. Their vision was simple: combine their love for cars with a meaningful way to support local children and families, and it turned into something much bigger.

The inaugural event in 2025 was an overwhelming success. It featured great music, a dedicated kids’ fun zone with bounce houses, a wide variety of food trucks, and an impressive lineup of over 230 vehicles ranging from exotic supercars to classic antiques. The atmosphere was electric, drawing large crowds and creating a positive space where the community could interact with law enforcement in a fun and engaging way.

In just one year, the Shine Showdown quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated car shows in North Georgia. Beyond the cars and entertainment, its true impact lies in the funds raised, directly supporting programs like Cops & Kids Go Back to School, Cops & Kids Christmas, scholarships, and other outreach efforts that strengthen relationships between officers and the youth they serve.

At its core, the Cops & Kids Shine Showdown is more than just a car show; it’s a community-driven event built on passion, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
