Yes the guys with the long beards are my uncles! (and not in a rock band)

Yesterday’s event was a success! Middle of the day but everyone took the afternoon off work for the great cause of raising awareness and critical funds for ALS. 50k raised

work tirelessly all year fundraising for research! Augie was such a powerhouse and his wife Lynn carries on his legacy.

Unintentionally appropriate gesture as my hand gets maneuvered into a splint

I’m back to sleeping with a splint every night to help with contractures. I really hate doing that but I’m afraid not to at this point . It’s honestly a good passive way to stretch your fingers for hours.

Thank you to ALS for giving me constant sh’t to battle.

As a side note I love my OT (who encouraged me to splint up). The first OT I had was abrupt , invasive and made me cry. So my mom said “dump her” and I did. This is something I’ve learned from my mom, work with someone who is a good fit for you and don’t blindly accept sub par because this disease is hard enough.

ALS at 23. Less than a year after I was diagnosed with ALS. I couldn’t figure out how to get into a tall bed.
