You save your tears for the car. The shower. The minute after everyone leaves.

Nobody ever told you to grieve alone. They just sent you to your room to cry when you were five. And you learned.

So now you hold it together all day and fall apart in private, and you call that being strong.

Hiding your grief isn't strength. It's training. And the loneliest part of loss isn't the loss. It's pretending you're fine.

You don't have to carry this by yourself.

One of the cruelest myths in the world is that mothers stop loving.

Most don't.

They simply stop reaching for a hand that never reaches back.

They stop calling when the calls go unanswered.
They stop asking when the answer is always silence.
They stop hoping when hope becomes a wound that never heals.

And from the outside, people call that giving up.

What they don't see is the years that came before it.

The birthdays remembered.
The holidays waited through.
The messages sent.
The tears shed in private.

Love didn't disappear.

It just learned how to survive without being returned.

For every mother reading this who carries that invisible grief, I see you.

And for every child who still has time...
