Greetings Love,

Fall is a transition season.
An in-between time.

And I think sometimes we forget that.

We are no longer at the peak of summer.
And we are not yet deep in winter.

We are in-between.

Traveling from one season to another.

I think we have seasons like this in our lives, too.

What used to fit doesn't quite fit anymore, but whatever is coming next hasn't fully revealed itself.

We are no longer where we were.
But we don't quite know where we're going.

One of my favorite artists, Trevor Hall, has a song about not rushing our healing—and about the teachings that can be found in the dark.

I've been thinking about that lately.

Sometimes the in-between feels a little like being lost to yourself.

The routines that usually ground you don't quite work.

The clothes you loved don't feel like you anymore.
The music that moved you doesn't hit the same.
You might feel restless. Listless. Numb.

Like something is shifting, but you don't yet know what.

So what do we do when we find ourselves here?

For me, I tend.

I make my home and workspace beautiful, nourishing places to be.

I burn incense. Light candles. Take long baths. Make myself really good food. Walk in nature.

I talk to the friends who know how to sit beside me without trying to cheer me up, fix me, or hurry me through.

I let myself be less visible for a while.

There are times for expansion.
And there are times for tending.

What if the in-between isn't asking you to figure out what's next?

Maybe it's asking you to care deeply for the person you are while you wait to meet who you're becoming.

The tending matters.
It fortifies us.

So that when whatever has been growing in the dark is finally ready to emerge—when the birth comes—we have something underneath us.

Something strong enough to hold what comes next.

If you find yourself in an in-between place right now, what would it look like to tend yourself instead of trying to hurry yourself through?

And if you need somewhere to land while you listen for what's next, begin here.

Greetings Love,

What would shift if you were to begin right where you are. With what's true in this moment?

So often, we want to rush toward the healed, evolved, less messy version of ourselves.

But it doesn't work like that.

Maybe you were jealous.
Or you shut down when someone you love needed you.
You said yes when you really wanted to say no.
You got defensive, controlling, needy, resentful, avoidant.

And once we see it, we want to fix it.

I shouldn't be like this.
I need to stop doing that.
I know better.

But knowing better and being able to do differently are not the same thing.

Let’s take jealousy.

You can decide that you don't want to be a jealous person. You can tell yourself that jealousy is unattractive or immature or that you should be more secure.

But none of that actually makes the jealousy go away.

The jealousy is there for a reason. And trying to override what's underneath it doesn't make that reason disappear.

Underneath it might be fear.
An old wound around not being chosen.
A desire you haven't quite let yourself admit.

Or a part of you that isn't convinced there is enough love, attention, success, beauty—whatever it is—to go around.

You don't know until you're willing to get curious.
And curiosity requires us to stop trying to get away from where we are.

We have to be willing to say:

Okay. This is what's true right now.

Not as an identity or an excuse for sh*tty behavior.

Just what's true right now.

Because so many of the things we want to change about ourselves aren't random flaws.

They're adaptations.

They're places that learned, somewhere along the way, this is how I keep myself safe.

And we don't heal those places by demanding they disappear.

We begin by understanding them.

So if there's something in you right now that you're trying desperately to get rid of, what if you stopped for a moment?

What if, instead of asking, How do I stop being this way?
you got soft around it and asked,

What's underneath this?

What is this protecting?
What does this part of me believe?
What might it need me to finally understand?

You don't have to love everything you find.
You don't have to stay here.

But if you want to get somewhere else, you have to be willing to begin where you actually are.

And if you're tired of knowing better but still finding yourself in the same patterns, begin here.

Let's get curious about what's underneath them—and what becomes possible when you no longer have to fight yourself to change.

Greetings Love,

Last Thursday, I dropped my one and only kiddo off at college.
And just like that, I found myself at the beginning of a significant transition.

I've been excited for him. Proud of him. Ready for him to have this next great adventure.

And still...

Grief.

Big, tender waves of it.

I'm grieving the changing of this season of parenting. I can already feel the loss of what has been and the uncertain mystery of the relationship we have yet to create.

In the midst of all of this, I've been thinking about something I learned years ago in my coaching program:

The ability to hold two seemingly opposing things at the same time.

So while I am grieving, I am also deliberately bringing in pleasure.
Not to make the grief go away or to distract myself from it.

I'm bringing pleasure in to sit beside the grief.

People I love.
Delicious food.
Music.
Touch.
Time outside.
Laughter.

Whatever reminds my body that even while something hurts, there is still life happening alongside the ache.

I think sometimes when I talk about pleasure, people immediately think about s*x.
And sure. S*x can be deliciously pleasurable.

But pleasure is so much bigger than s*x.

It's the sun warming your face.
The first sip of really good coffee.
A hand on your back.
Something beautiful that makes you stop and actually look.

Pleasure doesn't have to rescue us from what's hard.
It can simply sit beside it.

And sometimes, it gives us the capacity to stay with the hard thing—to feel it without being swallowed by it.

It doesn't cancel my grief.
It fortifies me to move through it.

That's the practice I'm in right now.

Letting myself ache because something precious is changing.
And letting myself experience what is beautiful because that's here, too.

Both get to be true.

So I wonder...

Where in your life might you let something beautiful sit beside something difficult?

Where could you invite in a little pleasure—not to fix what hurts, but to remind yourself that the hurt isn't all there is?

And if holding both feels impossible, that's okay.

This is something I had to practice. Something I needed to teach my nervous system.

To hold the grief and the pleasure.
The ache and the aliveness.
The messy and the magnificent.

If you want to build your capacity to hold more of yourself and more of your life, let's get you scheduled.

09/15/2026

Greetings Love,

What if your power couldn't be taken from you?

Not because nothing gets to you.
But because your power belongs to you.

I've been thinking about a kind of power that has nothing to do with how much influence we have, how desirable we are, whether someone chooses us, or what anyone else thinks of us.

It's the power of I AM.

I know who I am.
I know what matters to me.
I know how I want to move through this world.

We evolve. Life throws curveballs. But underneath all of that, there are often through lines.

Values.
Ways of being.
Things we know in our bones.

For me, it's deeply important that people feel seen and valued as human beings—not for what they produce, provide, or do for me.

Kindness matters to me.
Speaking my truth matters to me.
Honoring my own knowing matters to me.

When I make choices from those places, I feel something in myself become more solid.

This is who I am.

This is how I choose to wield my life force.

That's power.

Can it be shaken?
Oh, hell yes.

We can be rejected, heartbroken, questioned, misunderstood. We can f**k up spectacularly. We can lose our bearings and forget ourselves for a while.

But shaken isn't the same as taken.

When you know what you value and learn to trust your intuition, your rhythms, your own inner knowing—you have somewhere to return to.

Yourself.

And the more you make choices from that place, the less your life depends on who approves of you, chooses you, validates you, or understands you.

There is something profoundly unf**kwithable about that.

What is your I AM?

What do you know about yourself even when someone else doesn't see it?
Where are you still handing someone else the authority to tell you who you are?

Your power may get shaken.

But it belongs to you.

If you're tired of handing your power to someone else's approval, let's find your way back to the part of you that already knows. Begin here.
