Work in progress for .lilly old vs new Hawaii. Lower half is ancient history and we started the upper inner thigh with 70-80s Hawaii today. We did his outer leg with traditional Hawaiian print five years ago and needed a style to match the realism on his left leg that we completed a few months back. Aloha!

First timer gave me this fun idea to work with; his love of the outdoors and contemplation of life and his place in the universe when he’s reflecting in nature. We ended up with a cool way to show both sides of Mount Rainier with his family represented metaphorically and expanding into all that is space, time and the great unknown. I really dig big ideas since they’re so much fun to develop for specific people; but also make for great conversations right out the gate while working on them. Aloha!

Fun many-time client from my Vegas days flew up a couple times and finished his forearm. A tribute to his love of horror movies from childhood with favorite snacks and movie icons as portraits. So much time passes so quickly and there you are again; saying goodbye. You were tirelessly kind. Never a bad day. Fourteen years of unconditional love and acceptance and now you’re gone. Time isn’t kind in the end; but I wouldn’t trade all the pain now for everything you meant to us. Be with your brothers and hopefully again for us again when my time comes. Love you always Kazuki.

The best thing about trust are the long term effects. Creating a great rapport with your clients are my sole focus; and having them come back as repeat clients results in collaborations that are both highly meaningful and smart decisions (also super personalized). This is my third sleeve with .lilly - our history of automobiles realized from the stone wheel through current times. He’s a an avid at home wrencher, and from our discussions on previous tattoos this project slowly came to realize all the influences in his life that led to him loving working on cars and the impacts on him both personally and externally through culture. Zoom in and discover all the fun tiny bits and details. If you want to harness your story in a tattoo (big or small) that’s my speciality here - aloha!
