Before you can release anything, you have to be in relationship with your body at all.

And I don’t mean meditation. I don’t mean breathwork. I mean the basics.

Do you p*e when you need to p*e? Or do you hold it for another hour because you’re busy?

Do you know when you’re thirsty? Or do you get to 4pm and realize you haven’t had water all day?

Do you eat when you’re hungry? Or when you finally have time? Or when you’re so hungry you’re shaking and irritable and you grab whatever’s closest?

Do you check in with yourself at all? Ever? Even once?

Most people have no idea what’s happening in their body until it’s screaming. And even then they’re annoyed at it for interrupting.

That’s the relationship that needs to repair first.

Not the trauma. Not the stress cycles. Not the shaking and crying and release.

Just: do you know what your body needs right now? And do you care?

Start there.

“I can’t exactly shake it out in the middle of a meeting.”

Fair. Here are some versions nobody will notice:

Go to the bathroom and shake your hands and arms hard for 20 seconds.
Press your palms into a wall like you’re pushing it over, hold for 10 seconds, then let go.
Take the stairs fast, then stand at the top and let your breath slow down.
Exhale long and slow through pursed lips, like you’re blowing through a straw.

The point is a burst of effort, then a real ending, so your body gets to feel the “and then I was safe” part.

Doing it once helps. Doing it every day is what changes your baseline. That’s what UNLEASHED is: 90 days of building this into your life, so you keep the drive and lose the constant survival mode.

You’ve tried the supplements.

The ashwagandha. The magnesium. The adaptogens with names you can’t pronounce.

And maybe they helped a little. Maybe your labs even looked better. But you still feel like you’re running on fumes and cortisol and whatever’s left of your will to live.

Because your body isn’t missing something you can buy.

It’s stuck in a stress response that never got to finish.

And until that completes… until your body actually gets the signal that the danger is over… it’s going to keep doing what it’s doing. No matter what you throw at it.

And I’m not saying supplements are useless. I’m saying there is not supplement for a relationship with your own system.

If being weird in public feels impossible, start where nobody’s watching.

Sing in the shower. Shake it out in the car before you walk into work. Dance in the kitchen while the coffee brews. Your nervous system doesn’t care who sees it. It just needs the movement.

Then notice what comes up when you think about doing it in front of people. That cringe, that heat in your face, the urge to shrink? That’s a sensation too. It’s information about how much you’ve been holding in.

You don’t have to go barefoot at the playground tomorrow. Just get a little weirder than you were yesterday.

Your brain isn’t giving you the truth. It’s giving you a story that matches what your body already feels.

Anxious body = anxious thoughts.

Constricted body = constricted thoughts.

Overwhelmed body = “everything is falling apart.”

You’ve been trying to think your way out of feelings your body is creating.

That’s why it doesn’t work.

But when you practice the S.A.F.E. Method… a little bit at a time, often… you’re not just building the capacity to handle the hard stuff.

You’re unlocking everything that’s been stuck behind it.

The clarity you can’t access when you’re spinning.

The creativity that dries up when you’re surviving.

The joy and pleasure you’ve been too guarded to actually let in.

It’s all been waiting. On the other side of what you’ve been too constricted to feel.

You’ve read the books. Done the therapy. Understand the patterns better than most therapists could explain them back to you.

And you still get hijacked.

Still spiral. Still freeze. Still watch yourself react in ways you swore you wouldn’t… and then beat yourself up for it afterward.

Because knowing doesn’t change your nervous system. Using something does.

This is what it looks like to actually have a tool that works in the moment… not after, not in theory, not when you’re already calm.

In it. While it’s happening. While your body is screaming.

That’s the difference between insight and change.

And I don't mean "nobody can tell how I feel". This is NOT about "composure."

Staying at the wheel isn’t keeping a straight face while you fall apart inside. That’s masking, and it’s the opposite of presence. You can cry, shake, yell into a pillow, say “I’m really angry right now,” and be completely regulated, because you’re aware of what’s happening and you’re choosing what to do with it.

Dysregulation isn’t big emotion. It’s losing yourself in it. Going numb, going blank, coming to an hour later and not sure what happened.

So the question isn’t “am I calm?” It’s “am I still here?”

What does it look like when you lose the wheel?

You’ve processed plenty. You understand the patterns, the origins, the why behind all of it.

And you’re still holding it.

Because insight doesn’t clear the body. Completion does.

You're not going to start one of my courses and drown in information with nowhere to put it. You get input, then immediate output with tangible practices. Something to do with it. Something to feel.

If I show up to give a keynote, the audience isn't sitting there passively trying to absorb. They're participating. They're in their bodies. They leave different than they came in.

When I create content... social media, courses, keynotes... I intentionally balance input with output.

Because learning without doing is just mental clutter. And you're nervous sysem doesn't change from information. It changes from experience.

How can you practice this balance today?

10/15/2026

Obviously we don’t want to be redlining and braking all day, every day. That’s exhausting.

But the point is, activation is a part of life. Just like your heartbeat rises and falls, your intensity will go up and down throughout your days. That’s not dysfunction. That’s being alive.

The problem comes when we decide that all activation is a problem.

Because that interpretation? That’s often what actually sends us over the edge. The moment you label the activation as wrong, your system reads that as more threat. More distress. And now you’ve lost the steering wheel entirely.

It’s not the intensity that dysregulates you. It’s the story that intensity means something’s wrong.
