We saved the best for last! 😊

My name is BJ Lemasters, I am a Patient Registrar at Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at UHC. I have worked in customer service for many years; I started as a sales associate in retail and worked my way up to manager. I then worked at Mylan until they closed and moved the company overseas. After that I went back to school for medical coding. I decided that I missed working with the public and became a patient registrar. I am dedicated and enjoy helping patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. With strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy, I assist with registration, scheduling and insurance verification while ensuring patient privacy and excellent customer service. I enjoy working in plastic surgery because it allows me to be part of a specialty that helps patients feel confident and empowered. Working alongside coworkers who feel like a family creates a supportive, positive environment that makes every patient’s experience even more meaningful. 💙

Not all “tummy” surgeries are the same. Here’s a quick breakdown:

🔹 Panniculectomy: Removes excess hanging skin and tissue (Pannus) from the lower abdomen. Typically performed to relieve hygiene issues, rashes, or discomfort. Muscle tightening and belly button repositioning are usually not included.

🔹 Fleur-de-Lis Panniculectomy: Removes excess skin both vertically and horizontally, making it helpful for patients with significant skin laxity after major weight loss. Results in a vertical and horizontal scar.

🔹 Abdominoplasty (AKA Tummy Tuck): A cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin and tightens the abdominal muscles. The belly button is repositioned and liposuction is often utilized to create a smooth, flatter abdominal contour.

Every patient’s anatomy and goals are different- so the best procedure depends on individual needs!

Hi, my name is Cyndi Mayle. I am the LPN with UHC Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. My
nursing experience has varied over the last 18 years, with this being my newest nursing
adventure. Working in this department has been very rewarding as a whole, from the
patients to the work environment. Our office is one of a kind place to work, we are all there
for the patients, their needs, and their success, and we all get along like family. I enjoy
meeting and connecting with new patients each day; being able to answer their questions,
feel supported, and help them feel comfortable and at ease from start to finish. This is truly
a wonderful office, with a wonderful atmosphere.

Lisa Hansen - Office Manager
I have over 30 years experience managing a variety of surgical clinics, including general surgery, thoracic surgery, and pulmonary medicine. Throughout my career, I have always been passionate about patient care and I am committed to creating a smooth, supportive experience for both patient and staff.

Although I am new to plastic and reconstructive surgery, I had found this specialty to be especially rewarding. What I enjoy most is seeing the positive impact it has on patients - not only physically, but emotionally. The work we do helps patients regain both function and confidence after injury, illness or surgery. Being part of a process that helps people feel more confident and happy has been incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to continue growth in this field.

Outside of the office, I treasure time with my family, especially my grandkids. I enjoy cooking, traveling, and planning our next adventure with my husband and spending time outdoors. Above all, I value creating lasting memories with those I love.
