“The In-Between”
Here I am
in this strange place
where the pain pushed
and love pulled.
Where the life I knew
no longer fits,
and the life ahead
has not introduced itself yet.
Even the person I thought
would walk beside me
is no longer my person
So I meet myself here —
in the uncertainty,
in the quiet,
in a version of me
I haven’t met before
No map.
No guarantees.
Just my soul whispering,
keep going.
I have cried more tears than smiles this year;
Those tears have shaped me.
As the seasons change, so have I —
yet my essence remains the same
Maybe this in-between
isn’t where I am lost.
Maybe it is where I am being found.
Alone enough to remember my divine nature.
Brave enough to walk toward what I cannot yet see.
And here I sit —
open to Grace.
