Is the FOCUS 2026 Conference for you?

As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn, and Collaborate, you are invited to attend the 26th annual FOCUS Conference for health care providers and DQA staff on November 18 and 19, 2026. The 2-day conference will be held at the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions.

The information shared at this event will be most useful for:
• Administrators and case/discharge managers
• Caregivers
• Medical directors, nurses, pharmacists, quality/risk managers, social workers
• Staff from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and residential care settings
• DHS DQA staff
• Provider association representatives

Public Hearing for ch. DHS 88

Attn: Assisted Living Providers

As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn, and Collaborate, the Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) is sharing an upcoming public hearing and comment opportunity for the ch. DHS 88 proposed rule related to licensed 3-4 bed adult family homes.

Licensed adult family homes provide care, treatment, or services to three or four adults that are above the level of room and board, including up to seven hours per week of nursing care per resident. The Department proposes to update ch. DHS 88 for the purpose of strengthening provisions related to the health, safety, and rights of residents.

The public is invited to share feedback on the proposed rule.

Feedback will be received at a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, July 7, 1-2 p.m. or anytime in writing now through July 10, 2026.
