I'm back in the salon today for the first time in roughly 7 weeks! My doctor cleared me to start returning to work, but my restrictions aren't completely lifted. I'm still on weight limitations and supposed to avoid overly strenuous activities for about 2 more weeks.

I apologize for not posting an update earlier. Recovery is going pretty good. I am healing well and am almost pain-free most days. Unfortunately, I'm still on activity restrictions and have to avoid lifting more than 10 pounds. My next doctor visit is October 10. I should be able to come off restrictions then.
As of right now I'm planning on being back in the salon on October 11.

So much to update!
First, I will be out of the salon June 30 through July 11. I have family coming to visit from out of state and then we're off to take my totally awesome son to the National Trap Shooting Championship!
Second, I had my 3rd, and hopefully last, iron infusion earlier this week. I get my hemoglobin rechecked in about 4 weeks to see if it's well within healthy range and holding. If so, I will then be scheduled for a hysterectomy.
I apologize that I will be gone so much this summer. I will try my best to get everyone scheduled around all the chaos. Thank you for your patience.

Update:
The clinic contacted me much faster than expected. I have 3 appointments scheduled so far, and none of them interfere with any massage times at the salon. But please continue to stay posted as this will be an ongoing situation.
