Innovation begins with curiosity—and becomes meaningful when promising ideas are tested and measured.

In this conversation, JLC President Joe Charles explains why staying ahead means never stopping the search for better approaches. It means listening to clinicians, researchers, technology partners, and mission-driven teams—even when a new idea initially inspires skepticism.

That curiosity is paired with real-world measurement. The latest eTMS program dashboard includes data from 3,590 patients, 106,619 clinical scales and assessments, and 10,838 EEGs.

For JLC, the question is always: What’s next—and what can the evidence teach us?

How does JLC measure progress?

The dashboard does not compare one person with everyone else. It summarizes repeated measurements collected during care.

For the current aggregate view, patients must have at least two completed assessments. The dashboard compares the initial score with the final score in the first treatment round, excludes zero values, and reports mean change by measure.

That methodology matters. A percentage is only useful when the audience understands what was measured, who was included, and how the comparison was calculated.

Transparent measurement is part of clinical credibility—and part of building trust with patients, providers, partners, and policymakers.

A number alone does not create accountability. A consistent measurement system does.

As of July 29, 2026, JLC’s SFI Dashboard included 106,619 clinical scales and assessments across 3,590 patients participating in the eTMS program across multiple states.

These measures help our teams compare scores over time and better understand changes in areas such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep, cravings, and cognitive function.

The value is not simply having more data. It is using structured measurement to ask better questions:

• Are patients improving?
• Where is change strongest?
• Where do we need to learn more?
• How can we communicate results responsibly?

That is how evidence becomes a tool for better decisions—not just a number in a report.

The eTMS program powered by JLC Services began small in Ohio. Today, we’re growing across Ohio and Florida, adding new clinics to expand access for veterans, law-enforcement professionals, and first responders.

As of July 29, 2026, combined internal eTMS program data reflects:

• 3,590 participants served
• 10,838 EEGs completed
• More than 106,000 clinical assessments recorded

These numbers help our team measure progress, learn responsibly, and continue building a program centered on access and quality of life.

The graphic also highlights average changes in completed assessment scores related to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, sleep difficulties, alcohol cravings, opioid cravings, and cognitive performance.

Media spotlight: WKYC highlighted how eTMS Ohio provides brain-health support for veterans and first responders across Northeast Ohio.

The story explores how eligible Ohio veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers can access the state-funded program at no cost—and how the program may support better sleep, clearer thinking, and improved quality of life.
