To provide love, support and compassion for those unable to care for themselves and to sustain emotional and moral support for continued growth and goal awareness. At Silver Cross Health and Rehab our focus is to provide quality nursing home care and rehabilitation therapy services to each and every individual who finds their home in our care. Silver Cross Health and Rehab is Mississippi-owned and

operated. We are licensed by the State of Mississippi and offer Medicaid and Medicare services, as well as short- and long-term care. Above all, our goal is to be a place that you or your loved one is proud to call home. Silver Cross Nursing Home was organized in 1965 by the ladies of the Willing Hearts Circle of the International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons, an interdenominational Christian service organization. Willing Hearts was formed by a group of local women in 1894 in Brookhaven with the mission of ministering to the needs of others. This group of ladies purchased the furnishings of the Brookhaven Sanitarium(hospital), and in 1922 they opened a new hospital on the corner of N. Jackson and W. Congress Streets. A nursing school was also operated there between 1924 and 1944. When the King’s Daughters Hospital moved to its current location on Hwy 51, the city of Brookhaven deeded the old hospital location on N. Jackson to Willing Hearts with the purpose of housing Silver Cross Nursing Home. The name Silver Cross comes from the International Order’s badge, which is the Silver Maltese Cross. In 1996 the new 60-bed facility was completed and Silver Cross moved into its current location on Silver Cross Drive behind King’s Daughters Medical Center. In 2014 the Silver Cross board of directors leased the management of the home to Advanced Health Care Management (AHM). The ladies of Willing Hearts still own and sit on the boards of King’s Daughters Medical Center, Silver Cross Health & Rehab and Kingsborough Elderly Housing in Brookhaven.

God’s love never fails, and today we talked about Heaven and the beautiful promise found in John 14:1-3. What a wonderful way to end an incredible week of VBS!
We spent the day with St. Luke Hospice, making precious memories, eating cookies, laughing, singing, and rejoicing together. 🍪🎶❤️
We are so thankful for every moment God has given us this week and for the opportunity to share His love, joy, and promises with others. What a blessing it has been to spend our week in God’s Word and celebrating the love that never fails! 🙏✨

Day 4 of VBS! 💕✨
“Joy” was our theme today, and we were reminded of Psalm 118:24: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!” What a wonderful reminder of how amazing God’s love is and the joy that His love brings! ❤️
We spent the morning with Accent Homecare, enjoying ice cream sandwiches 🍦 and making more sweet memories together. We are so thankful for such a wonderful week filled with fellowship, laughter, and time spent in God’s Word.
What a blessing it has been to share God’s love and joy all week long!

God’s Love Never Fails — VBS Day 3 💙
Day 3 was all about HOPE, centered around Jeremiah 29:11 — a beautiful reminder that God has plans for each of us, plans filled with hope and a future.
We were blessed to spend the morning with Deaconess Hospice and Deaconess HomeCare, who shared with us what God’s hope truly means. They also took us back in time with a sweet treat we all remember — butter ring cookies! 🍪
More than anything, this day was about building relationships, one resident at a time, making sure each person felt seen, loved, valued, and had the very best time possible.
The smiles are still bright. 😊
The worship is still strong. 🙌
And the memories we are making will last a lifetime. ❤️
God’s love never fails, and His hope continues to shine through every smile, every song, and every connection.

God’s Love Never Fails — VBS Day 2! 🙏❤️
Day 2 of VBS was all about faith, inspired by Hebrews 11:1. We were blessed to have Gentiva Hospice spend the morning with us, focusing on what the Bible teaches us about faith while also taking the time to listen to our residents recite Scripture and share what faith means to them.
It was a beautiful morning filled with meaningful conversations, one-on-one time, relationship building, and connections that go beyond words. ❤️
VBS Day 2 was a great success, and we are so excited to see what the rest of the week has in store! God is truly working through every moment. 🙏✨

We’re taking our residents back to Vacation Bible School this week, and we’re kicking things off with an amazing theme: “God’s Love Never Fails!” 🙏❤️
Day 1 was all about LOVE, with our scripture being John 3:16. What a wonderful way to begin a week centered around God’s love!

A huge THANK YOU to Arden Home Health & Hospice for kicking off Bible School with us with a BANG! 🎉 From pledges and music to arts & crafts, recreation, and Bible study, our residents had an incredible time.

We’re looking forward to a fun-filled week of fellowship, faith, learning, and lots of love! ✝️❤️
