BEST. AABP.

EVER!

THANK YOU to all of our visitors to Booth #627 at the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) meeting in Minneapolis!

From our own Andy Smythe - "While other booths were tearing down, we still had a line of people to talk to!"

Again, Thank you to all of our friends - old and new - and looking forward to following up in the days to come.

Sincerely,
Dr. Alan Young, Dr. Gary Anderson, Dr. Bob Gentry, Sean O'Hare and the rest of the Medgene team!

Asian longhorned ticks are new to the U.S. They’re spreading Theileria, a protozoa that causes Theileriosis. That disease costs ranchers and producers a whole lot of money.

A brand-new vaccine from Medgene can address Theileria. Ask your vet veterinarian to learn more.

Antibiotics only treat illnesses caused by bacteria. They’re useless against viruses and protozoa.

When addressing a protozoa like Theileria, ask your livestock veterinarian about the new vaccine.

Sometimes, more is necessary.

"Theileria deep dive" podcast - in TWO parts!

Grateful for The University of Missouri Extension, Dr. Craig Payne for his expert insight into Theileria (the protozoan), Theileriosis (the disease) and its particulars.

The "Every Animal Has an Owner" interview hit so many important points, it was split into two parts - but each one is still brief enough to provide a quick-listen.

Part ONE covers:
• The movement of the Asian Longhorned tick (the carrier of the Theileria protozoan) across the country
• Long-term Theileria/Theileriosis effects
• Theileria/Theileriosis. and calf infection
• Understanding the critical "first exposure" of the Theileria protozoan

Part TWO covers:
• Involving veterinarians to make an individual "Theileria plan"
• Theileria/Theileriosis can LOOK like BRD (Bovine Respiratory Disease) - but know the difference!
• Minding the impact of Theileria/Theileriosis on new animals into a herd or system

If this calf could talk...

What do you think would happen?

Well, it's owner would become crazy-rich because a talking calf would be amazing!

However, calves can't talk. But their veterinarians CAN. And they will be talking, learning, and sharing at American Association of Bovine Practitioners annual conference this August 27-29 in Minneapolis!

High on our "talking points" will be vaccines for theileria, Fall respiratory diseases, crypto... and of course, listening to the issues at-hand facing bovine veterinarians.

Cattle health challenges...

How DO you stay ahead?!

IBR, BVD, BRSV, influenza D, bovine coronavirus, rhinitis, astrovirius... what can a EVER do to actually get ahead of health issues on the farm?

💯 thanks to American Cattlemen for bringing Dr. Bob Gentry onto their podcast!

Top science, 45 years of experience, and a positive, can-do attitude make listening to our own Dr. Bob Gentry seem like a cup of ☕ with a trusted friend*.

And especially with Fall respiratory diseases at the🚪, now is the time to listen (and take action to stay ahead).

To keep your cattle herd safe and healthy, you need to know your enemy. Whether it’s bacteria or protozoa, face them with the right weaponry.

Work with your local vet to find the right treatment for current invaders or the right Medgene vaccine for potential troublemakers in the area.
