Restore Body Balance A holistic health and wellness practice that focuses on the mind body connection, positive life changes, and alternative ways to approach healthcare.

Since 1998 I have been a licensed psychotherapist and have helped hundreds of clients with traditional methods. What I attribute to better outcomes and recovery is a complement of Nutritional Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. (MBSR)

Upon completion of additional training in these adjunct therapies, I developed a program that allows clients to access and cultivate their natural capacity to actively engage in caring for themselves and find greater balance, peace of mind and improved overall health.

I see this pattern all the time in my practice: smart, driven professionals who *know* what they should do, but when stress hits, their brain hijacks them into habits that feel safe in the moment-even though those habits undermine everything they're working toward.

Here's what neuroscience shows us: willpower isn't the problem. Your stress-response system is. And that's actually good news, because patterns can be rewired.

That's exactly what I built Prescription for Change to do-reset the loop in eight weeks by reconnecting your mind, body, and brain so stress stops derailing your health goals.

If you're tired of the cycle, I'd love to show you how your stress pattern works. Take the quiz or book a consult-let's see what's possible for you.

I built Prescription for Change because I was living proof that stress isn't a character flaw-it's a nervous system pattern. And patterns can be rewired.

If you're a high-achiever stuck in the anxiety-equals-productivity loop, this carousel is for you. Your brain isn't broken. It's just been trained to see stress as safety.

The good news? What your nervous system learned, it can unlearn. But it takes more than willpower. It takes understanding.

Let's talk about your stress pattern-no pitch, just clarity. Ready to discover how your response could shift?

I see this pattern all the time: couples walk in thinking they're incompatible, but what they're really dealing with is their nervous system in overdrive. When stress hijacks your brain, you can't 'just communicate better'-your body won't let you. The good news? These patterns are interrupts, not destiny. This week, try noticing what your body does the moment tension rises. That awareness is where change actually starts. Your partner doesn't need to change first. You do.

Download my free Communication Reset Guide to practice these techniques this week-and see what shifts.

I've noticed something most stressed professionals miss: the argument ends, but your body doesn't get the memo. Your nervous system is still braced for the next blow-and that's why you're replaying the conversation at 2 AM instead of sleeping.

Here's what changed everything for my clients: it's not about communicating better in the heat of the moment. It's about interrupting the cycle *before* you respond. That 30-second pause isn't weakness-it's the difference between staying stuck in fight-or-flight and actually coming back to yourself.

If you and your partner argue and one (or both) of you can't let it go for days, your nervous systems are locked in a pattern. The good news? You can rewire this in weeks, not years.

Take the quiz to see which communication pattern is keeping you trapped-and get the full toolkit from my Prescription for Change program.

I see this pattern constantly: couples think they're incompatible when what's really happening is their nervous systems are hijacked. You're both in survival mode, not connection mode. The good news? Communication is a skill, not a personality trait. You can learn it, starting with one technique that signals safety to your partner's brain so they can actually hear you. But here's what I've found after years in practice-one tool gets you started, but lasting change comes from understanding the full system beneath your stress patterns. That's exactly what I built the Prescription for Change program and my counseling practice around. Take the quiz to discover your relationship stress type and get personalized next steps.

I see this pattern all the time in my practice: couples come in exhausted, thinking the stress is about work or money. But when we slow down and look at how they're actually talking to each other during those tense moments - that's where the real shift happens.

Your nervous system doesn't distinguish between a work deadline and a fight with your partner. It just knows: am I safe right now? And the way you communicate - whether you shut down, blame, or actually listen - is literally answering that question for your body.

I built the 'Prescription for Change' program around this exact insight. It's not about fighting less. It's about fighting in a way that actually calms your nervous system instead of winding it tighter.

If you're managing work stress AND relationship tension, this matters. Book a free 15-minute consult with me, and we'll map out which patterns are working against you - and what to do instead.

This is the anxiety loop most professionals don't see - until it's running their life.

Step 1: A stressful meeting, a tight deadline, a critical email - something triggers your nervous system. That's normal.

Step 2: Your brain launches its automatic response: doom spiral, racing thoughts, that familiar knot in your chest. You're not weak; this is how your brain learned to "protect" you.

Step 3: So you reach for relief - three espressos, a workout, scrolling, anything to quiet the noise. It works... for a few hours. You feel focused, almost calm.

Step 4: But then tomorrow, the anxiety comes back *stronger*. Your brain now links that relief trigger to survival, so the loop tightens. Willpower doesn't break this. Understanding it does.

I've watched this pattern play out in hundreds of clients, and here's what changes everything: you don't need to white-knuckle through anxiety. You need to *redesign the loop itself*.

The first step? See your loop clearly. That's why I created a free quiz to help you identify exactly which trigger-response-reward pattern is running you - so you can actually rewire it.

Ready to break the cycle? Take the quiz below or book a free 20-minute clarity call with me. Let's map your loop and show you what change actually looks like.

I've worked with dozens of anxious clients who've tried everything: medication adjustments, therapy, willpower, restrictive diets. And then we'd zoom in on their actual daily habits-the small rituals they weren't even aware of-and something clicked.

One client realized her morning routine (rushing through caffeine on an empty stomach, checking email before breakfast) was the anxiety trigger. She wasn't broken. She was just running on autopilot.

When she replaced those habits with a grounded morning ritual, her anxiety dropped by half in weeks. Not because she "fixed" herself, but because she redesigned how her body was starting each day.

Your anxiety might be telling you the same thing: *I need a different routine, not a different you.*

Take my quick quiz below to uncover which of YOUR everyday habits might be feeding anxiety-and which simple swap could shift everything. This is exactly how I guide clients through my Prescription for Change program.

I built my practice on one core truth: the stress habit that sticks is never the one that works for someone else. It's the one designed for YOUR nervous system.

I've watched so many clients come in frustrated-meditation made them more anxious, journaling felt hollow, sleep routines didn't land. Not because they lacked discipline. Because the advice was generic and their wiring wasn't.

Your brain, your body, your stress response-they're uniquely yours. The moment you stop borrowing wellness tips and start understanding your actual pattern, everything changes.

That's what I help you discover in a free consultation. No guessing. No more copying what works for the next person. Just a personalized roadmap built on your mind-body-brain blueprint.

Here's what I've learned from following clients 18 months after they complete Prescription for Change: not all habits stick equally, and that's actually the insight that matters most.

One client finished our 8-week program with six solid tools. She was committed. But 18 months later? Only three made it into her permanent life.

What stuck:
• Morning breathing (triggered by her coffee routine-already there)
• Weekly meal prep (solved her 3pm decision fatigue)
• One stress-reset practice (took 90 seconds, fit between meetings)

What faded:
• The ambitious workout schedule (required new time blocks)
• The detailed food journal (felt like homework after week 6)
• The evening wind-down ritual (competed with her actual schedule)

The pattern? The tools that survived had something in common: they either attached to a habit already in place or solved a real pain point she felt *every single day*. They didn't ask her to become a different person. They fit her actual life.

Your habits might look completely different. But the principle stays the same: the ones that last aren't the hardest-they're the ones that make sense *for you*.

If you're curious about which of your current habits would actually stick, or whether Prescription for Change would unlock the right tools for your life, let's talk. I offer a brief consultation to map out your habit stickiness and see if this program is the right fit.
