🎉 Future Leaders Program Spotlight

Please join us in welcoming Jude Nwulu as an Administrator-in-Training at Hammonds Lane Center!

With more than eight years of experience across various healthcare systems and a master’s degree in healthcare administration, Jude brings a strong leadership background to the Future Leaders Program. Now, he is excited to bring that experience to long-term care while continuing to grow as a well-rounded leader.

Overseeing him will be Nick Johnson, experienced preceptor and current Nursing Home Administrator.

“My former AIT is already successful in his own building and it is extremely satisfying to watch him grow professionally. I am excited to start on the path again with Jude.”

🧠💜 The Power of Us. The Power of Now.

Lillian Reda, Genesis' National Director of Memory Support Clinical Practice and Education, recently attended the Alzheimer's Association Community Leaders Summit in Anaheim, CA.

This inspiring gathering brings together community leaders from across the country to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance a collective vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia. The summit energizes participants to expand outreach, support, and impact in communities nationwide.

Reflecting on the experience, Lillian shared, “It was truly an impactful learning and networking experience. The ‘purple’ passion among attendees, the powerful personal stories shared, and the insights into the current momentum in care and treatment advancements were not only inspiring but absolutely energizing.”

Genesis is also proud to mark 17 years of participation as a National Team supporting Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Do What You Love to End ALZ, along with our continued efforts to expand access to education, support programs, advocacy, and research.

At Hammonds Lane Center, we’re proud to celebrate two major wins for November: achieving 0% pressure injuries and an 8.33% rehospitalization rate. These results reflect the steady, thoughtful work our team puts in every day to keep residents safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their stay. From preventing skin breakdown to reducing unplanned hospital returns, our nurses, CNAs, therapists, and support staff continue to show what consistent, high-quality care looks like, and we couldn’t be more proud of their dedication.

Big news for us at Genesis Hammonds Lane Center! ❤️

We’re excited to share that our center has officially been certified by American Heart Association for Skilled Nursing Facility Heart Failure care. This is a huge accomplishment for our team, and it truly reflects the hard work, dedication, and heart that everyone puts into caring for our residents each day.

This certification isn’t just a badge, it represents our commitment to following evidence based practices, improving coordination, and making sure our patients living with heart failure receive the safest and most effective care possible.

I’m incredibly proud of our team for reaching this milestone. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support each other, and put our residents first. ❤️
