All this talk about PMOS and PCOS — the bottom line is that if you’ve received this diagnosis, you probably have a million questions about it!

If you’re in NY/NJ (and are over 18), I have a group that may be helpful to you! It’s a great way to get support at a lower cost than one-on-one sessions (or even in addition to them! I also have options for insurance if you are interested.

Current session just ended so I’m looking to start up again in summer!

Now that the weather is warming up again, people are looking to get outside and get moving — but not everyone’s workout routine looks the same.

Exercise is important for overall health, and especially for those with PMOS (formerly PCOS). But it’s not about going hard at the gym every day. I always tell patients that consistency is always better than doing an intense workout schedule only to burn out after a few weeks (or even days).

But, you have to be honest with yourself. Here are some key questions to ask when you’re creating an exercise routine.

Even though it’s set to be a rainy Memorial Day weekend, you can still stay in and enjoy a comforting and low effort meal!

If you don’t have a crockpot, you can still make these amazing chicken teriyaki bowls using whatever method you choose, including cooking these on the grill (if weather allows).

Plus, you can customize your fix-ins however you like! I suggest avocado and sautéed spinach for extra fiber! Nutrition estimates on the last slide.

Stay dry this weekend!

Did you hear? PCOS is now called PMOS.

Why the change? Well, it’s actually big news that will hopefully lead to better, more comprehensive care for all patients.

I wrote about it on my blog last week! Catch up on my website!

PCOS? PMOS? You might be wondering why the sudden change?

If you’re dialed into social media conversations about PCOS, you might have noticed the news that the name for PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) has now been updated to PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome).

This is HUGE news and a great change to help understand this condition, provide more inclusive care, and assist in clearer treatment plans.

Struggling to work exercise into your weekly routine? Think NEAT!

NEAT stands for Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis, and you’re usually doing it even when you’re not thinking about it!

Playing with your kids or pets at the park?
Running errands?
Opting to pick up groceries or takeout instead of getting delivery?

That’s NEAT.

Even if it doesn’t FEEL like exercise, it’s still a good way to work in extra activity without actually thinking about it. It’s also a good way to work your way up to an exercise routine if you don’t know where to start.

Read more on my blog! Link in bio and today’s story.

What are some other things you can do to increase your NEAT?

It’s FRIDAY!

If you’re anything like me, the end of the week is a peak time to get hit by that “I just can’t even” feeling. You know the one: You’re tired, you’ve been trying to take care of yourself all week, and now your energy is dropping and the last thing you want to spend your mental load on is meal planning.

You can TOTALLY make takeout meals work for your nutrition journey. But you can also make dinner at home that’s delicious and requires almost NO brainpower.

My favorite? Pizza!

Here’s how I make extremely easy at-home personal pizzas that are fully customizable depending on your nutrition goals.

Have a great weekend!
