This one’s close to the heart (iykyk) 🥹❤️

Gabby, thank you for trusting me with this piece, it felt meant to be that I got to bring it to life. Both Ukrainian, Russian-speaking, and raised here in the states — It was really special connecting over something that shaped both of our childhoods. We shared memories watching this beloved Soviet cartoon, and it still carries so much warmth and nostalgia! ☀️

While gathering references, I realized there are surprisingly few good illustrations or tattoos of Cheburashka out there, which made me even more excited to do this little loveable guy justice and really capture his warmth and charm. ✍️✨

Getting to know you and talking for hours was such a joy! Already looking forward to the next one, 🥰

Such a fun one-day blackwork project on Jane — complete with mushrooms native to North Carolina (helllloooo shaggy-legged boletes and jack-o-lanterns). Being an avid ant-lover, she had asked me to incorporate some and it was a fun challenge to make them look cute in a tattoo... And honorable mention to the sneaky snail and dragonfly friends of course! 🤭

Another reunion with an old college pal 🫶 Cecilia reconnected with me on the hunt for a fresh take on clovers! ✨

I really enjoy taking even the seemingly simplest of ideas and re-imagining them in a more unique stylized way. 💭

It was quite comical scrolling for reference photos to just find the same illustration of a clover reiterated hundreds of ways across Pinterest... No thank you 🥲🤦‍♀️😅

🦭 THE SELKIE 🇮🇪

Claire came to me looking for a fresh take on the Selkie — the Irish folklore figure who can shift between woman and seal. There’s surprisingly little selkie art out there, and most depictions show the top half as a woman and the bottom half as a seal. She envisioned something different: a figure mid-dive, the front half already beneath the waves as a seal, with the curves of her human legs and butt still above the surface. 🍑

She grew up hearing Selkie stories from her Irish family, andThe Selkie Girl was one of her favorite books as a child — she’s always felt she has a selkie soul. Since moving to Maine, she’s found cold water swimming deeply healing, and this piece honors her lifelong connection to the sea. 🌊

Thank you for traveling so far for this through a blizzard weekend and sitting like a champ — such a joy working with you! 🥹🫶

Work in progress on Elsa! Slowly covering up and adding onto her old half sleeve... While the lower blackwork heals — love this small element we added here that mimics the painterly mandala piece we did on her other arm years ago (last slide) 😎

Very cool to find cohesion across the body even through seemingly separate older tattoos... 🙏✨

After a MUCH NEEDED total unplugging from work over the holidays — complete with copious amounts of sleep, neverending cooking and baking, time with friends and family, and easing back into my workout routine — I am feeling restored and excited for the new year ahead 😌

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some (not all!) of the highlights from this past year... 2025 was definitely tough at times but full of meaningful projects, personal firsts, and so many moments that pushed me out of my comfort zone to grow as an artist 🫶

December also marked THREE years of getting to tattoo my art on you all! I still am in awe how many incredible people I’ve connected with through this craft. I’m endlessly grateful for the trust, the conversations, and the friendships that have come from it - it is truly a privilege 🥹❤️

Thank you to each and every one of you.
