Turns out we do so much just by walking - sometimes I also create a rhythm with clicks or claps to accentuate the bilateral rhythm

Writing songs these last 3 decades - going for a walk in the middle of a problem I can’t seem to solve had rarely let me down.

Much of my creative tenacity has come from systems, not force.

Going for even a quick walk around the block can shift energy in more ways than one and often get you to the other side, creating disruption and a shift in perspective.

It doesn’t have to be complicated for it to disrupt the tension. Simply creating awareness about how you’re using your body and how it feels to be in it right now can have a profound effect.

Humming is a fabulous tool for gauging how we’re holding the body - from our tongue and jaw down to the low back and hips if you can believe it!

It’s all connected- with a bonus that if you use humming to loosen up- it brings you another step closer to singing becoming a part of your life!
