🥽🩺 Healthcare meets virtual reality!

This summer, our Cabrini program students stepped into the future of healthcare education during a College of Nursing VR simulation class!

Using virtual reality technology, students participated in an immersive learning experience that gave them a unique opportunity to explore healthcare and nursing in a whole new way. ✨

Hands-on experiences like these allow our students to discover different career paths while seeing how technology is transforming the healthcare field.

📣 From students to community leaders! ✨

This summer, our Beyond the Stigma (BTS) students took their knowledge beyond the classroom and into the community! Students had the opportunity to lead presentations, share what they’ve learned, and engage directly with community members.

These moments are about more than public speaking—they’re about building confidence, strengthening communication skills, and empowering young people to use their voices to educate and make an impact. 💙

In a Behind-the-Scenes clip from our Women’s Mental Health Roundtable this past March, Debra, the CEO of Oh My Heavenly Salon, talks about her experience going to the doctor with her mother. She was so surprised by how attentive they were and all the varied resources they had ready to use.

It’s impossible to know all the resources that are available, and sometimes they won’t be known unless you advocate for yourself and ask the right questions. At the Institute, our goal is to equip you with the tools needed to advocate for yourself, and share any resources that might be helpful.

In our linktree and on page 29 of our Heart Health Resource Guide, we have a set of questions to help guide you through a doctor’s visit, and hopefully allow you to feel more prepared for the day. You can also join our newsletter to always be up-to-date on community events and resources!
