Soulful Soma LLC Soulful Soma is a trauma-informed, body-based healing practice rooted in care, consent, and collective liberation.

A Queer Black wellness space rooted in somatic wellness, yoga, meditation, and breathwork, dedicated to supporting marginalized communities with care & healing. I work with queer Black and Brown men, trans, and other marginalized bodies moving through grief, stress, and anxiety while learning to access more joy, rest, and safety. My work blends somatic awareness, co-regulation, boundary and agency

practice, guided breath-work, sound bowl grounding, body mapping, and reflective processing. Together we slow down enough to notice what the body is saying, what it’s protecting, and what it’s ready to release. I offer somatic bodywork that helps release tension, soften protective patterns, and bring the body into deeper alignment with safety and rest. Every session is guided by consent, nervous system awareness, and care for what your body has carried. Soulful Soma lives inside an framework that centers dignity, agency, community and connection. Healing here grows through relationship, curiosity, and the steady practice of returning to the body as a place of knowing and liberation.

In an abundance of gratitude for allowing me to show up for the fantastic humans at GRIOT Circle 🙏🏾

For over 30 years, GRIOT Circle, based in Downtown Brooklyn, has created a safe, affirming home rooted in dignity, belonging and joy for LGBTQ+ elders of color. Getting to bring somatic bodywork into that legacy was an honor I don’t take lightly.

In our class we practiced grounding, breath-work, movement, offering gratitude, receiving care, holding space and building stronger community bonds.

Each person left with their own recognition, feeling supported, loved and seen.

I am honored to share my work and be part of this amazing community.
