The Law of Body Mechanics:
Why Form Matters 🏋️♂️
In physics, a machine is built to move along a specific track to work safely. Your body is just like that machine.
A good rule for lifting is:
The weight changes, but your movement pattern should stay the same.
Think of your body like a crane at a construction site:
🏗️ Lifting a light box (50 lbs): The crane sets its base, keeps its cables straight, and lifts smoothly.
🏗️ Lifting a heavy steel beam (500 lbs): The crane tries to follow the exact same path. It doesn't want to twist or bend its steel arms, it just uses more engine power.
The Form Secret:
Treat 50 lbs with the same respect as 500 lbs. Yes, advanced lifters have extra muscle to protect them if their form slips a little bit under heavy weights. But for the safest and most powerful lift, your body should always aim for the same blueprint.
Lock in your movements on the light sets so your body knows exactly what to do when it gets heavy! 💪
