New Blog Post Is Up-link in comments.

✨ You don’t have to have the answers before you ask for help.

So many women come into perimenopause and menopause wondering if what they’re experiencing is “normal.”

They’re exhausted.
They’re gaining weight.
They’re anxious.
They’re forgetting things.
They don’t feel like themselves anymore.

And often, they wait.

They wait until they can explain it better.
They wait until they can prove something is wrong.
They wait until they’re absolutely sure they deserve help.

But that’s not how good care works.

You don’t need to speak in medical terms.
You don’t need to have a diagnosis.
You don’t need to justify why it matters.

If something feels off, that’s enough.

Your symptoms deserve attention.
Your concerns deserve to be heard.
And you deserve a provider who will help you make sense of what you’re experiencing.

💚 Asking for help isn’t a sign that you don’t have the answers.

It’s often the first step toward finding them.

Excited to be taking the next steps toward bringing Ascend Hormone Care to Texas! 🎉

I’m currently looking for a collaborating physician, ideally in the Abilene or DFW area, to support this expansion.

If you have a connection or know someone who may be interested, I’d be incredibly grateful for an introduction. Feel free to send me a DM!

Thank you for helping me expand access to quality hormone and menopause care for women across Texas. 💛

Women are often taught to minimize their symptoms and wait until things get worse before seeking help.

But you don’t have to hit a breaking point to deserve care.

You don’t have to walk into your appointment with the diagnosis already figured out—that’s our job.

If something feels off, that’s enough reason to be seen, heard, and taken seriously.

Ascend Hormone Care…built with a vision bigger than four clinic walls.

Care that meets women where they are.
Care that listens.
Care that understands real life.

From mountain towns to busy cities, women deserve access to thoughtful, evidence-based hormone care that actually fits their lives.

This is only the beginning. 🤍

Before giving advice, we should understand the life it has to fit into.

When I tell someone to eat more protein, prioritize sleep, manage stress, or start lifting weights… I also need to understand the context of their life.

Are they a single mom with a five-year-old?
Working nights?
Running on four hours of sleep?
Caring for aging parents while trying to hold everything else together?
Pouring into everyone else before themselves?

Healthcare should never be one-size-fits-all.

Real care means seeing the whole person — their stress, responsibilities, limitations, goals, capacity, and season of life, not just their symptoms.

Because the best treatment plan isn’t the “perfect” one on paper.

It’s the one that actually fits your real life.

This conversation matters.

One of the most powerful parts of medicine should be informed consent…not just handing someone a prescription, but truly discussing risks, benefits, side effects, alternatives, and what happens when it’s time to stop a medication.

I recently had a friend tell me that coming off her SSRI had been a difficult road, and one she hadn’t expected… and no one had prepared her for that possibility. That stayed with me.

This is not anti-medication. Antidepressants are absolutely appropriate medications for some people. But patients deserve the full picture so they can make informed decisions about their own health and their own bodies.

These are the kinds of honest, nuanced conversations we need more of in healthcare.

Most women are used to feeling rushed through healthcare visits, especially when it comes to hormones, perimenopause, and menopause.

But hormone symptoms are often layered, interconnected, and evolving over time. They deserve a more comprehensive approach.

Ascend Hormone Care was intentionally designed to allow for:
• longer visits
• in-depth health history review
• ongoing follow-up
• individualized treatment adjustments
• education and collaboration
• community

This is not one-size-fits-all care.

It’s thoughtful, evidence-based hormone care designed around partnership and continuity, because meaningful change rarely happens in a single visit.

While Ascend operates on a cash-pay membership model, most labs and many medications are still processed through insurance whenever possible.

You are more than a standard prescription.

Hormone therapy should consider:
✔️ symptoms
✔️ medical history
✔️ sleep
✔️ mood
✔️ libido
✔️ risk factors
✔️ lifestyle
✔️ goals

There is no single “best” menopause treatment plan, only the best plan for you.

Too many women wait months for rushed appointments and leave feeling unheard or undereducated.

Menopause care deserves nuance, education, and shared decision-making.

At Ascend Hormone Care, we believe in individualized care that helps women understand ALL of their options.
