Women deserve testosterone options designed for women. Period.

Right now, there is no FDA-approved testosterone product specifically formulated and dosed for women in the United States.

That matters.

It means women and their clinicians are often left trying to adapt products manufactured for men or use compounded formulations—while navigating inconsistent dosing, pharmacy barriers, cost, access, and a lack of standardized options.

On September 17, 2026, the FDA is holding a public meeting specifically focused on Testosterone Use in Menopausal Women, including the current evidence, safety, knowledge gaps, and potential future drug development.

But this isn’t only a conversation for researchers and regulators.

The FDA is asking for public comments—and that means your voice can be part of this conversation.

If you’re a woman who has struggled to access appropriate testosterone treatment, share your experience.

If you’re a healthcare provider who has encountered barriers prescribing testosterone for women, share what you’re seeing in clinical practice.

We need better research.

We need appropriate formulations and dosing for women.
We need safe, reliable, evidence-based options.
There is power in numbers.

Public comments are open through October 19, 2026.

Save this post. Share it with a friend or provider. And most importantly—submit a comment.

Women deserve better options. Let’s make sure the FDA hears us.

Delta, Colorado — I’m coming your way! 🏔️

I’m excited to be joining the Delta Library on Thursday, September 24 from 5:00–6:30 PM for a conversation about perimenopause, menopause, and what’s actually happening in our bodies during this transition.

We’ll talk about:

✨ Common (and sometimes surprising) symptoms of perimenopause and menopause
✨ The hormonal and physiological changes happening in midlife
✨ How these changes can affect your overall health and quality of life
✨ Evidence-based options, next steps, and resources
✨ What you can do now to support your health as you age

My goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of your body and, hopefully, a few of those “Wait… THAT could be perimenopause?” moments.

This is about education, conversation, and giving women the information they deserve about their bodies.

⏰ 5:00–6:30 PM

Come with your questions and bring a friend. I’d love to see you there! 🤍

Perimenopause and menopause care is not the same as treating an ear infection. 🩺

There isn’t one prescription, one dose, or one treatment plan that works for every woman.

When we talk about hormone therapy alone, there are options:

Estrogen can come as a patch, pill, gel, spray, and more.
Progesterone has different options and dosing strategies.
Testosterone may be appropriate for some women.
But good menopause care goes far beyond hormones.

We should also be talking about:
🦴 Protecting your bones
💪 Maintaining muscle and strength
🧠 Supporting brain health
❤️ Cardiovascular and metabolic health
😴 Sleep
✨ Sexual health
🌿 And how you want to feel and function as you age

That takes more than a rushed 15-minute appointment and “we’ll see you next year.”

You deserve time to understand your options, ask questions, make informed decisions, and adjust your care as your body and your needs change.

Menopause isn’t a single moment to treat. It’s a transition to support.

✨ Looking for a menopause provider in your state?

The Academy for Advanced Women’s Health Medicine has launched a clinician directory to help women find providers with advanced training in menopause and midlife care.

Providers listed here have pursued additional education through the Academy in areas such as menopause hormone therapy, sexual health, testosterone, and care for women with more complex histories, including breast and gynecologic cancer survivors.

I’m proud to be listed as a provider and to continue investing in specialized education in women’s midlife health. 🤍

🔎 Find a menopause-trained clinician near you through the AAWHM Clinician Directory.

I’m so excited to partner with the Limon Memorial Library for a FREE community conversation about something we simply don’t talk about enough: hormone health in midlife.

If you’ve found yourself wondering…
Why am I so tired?
Why am I not sleeping like I used to?
Where did this brain fog come from?
Why is my mood, weight, or libido changing?
And is this all really just part of “getting older”?

Come spend an hour with me.

We’ll talk about what actually happens during perimenopause and menopause, what symptoms can look like, and the evidence-based options available to help you make informed decisions about your health.
No sales pitch. No pressure. Just education, conversation, and a chance to ask the questions you may not have had the opportunity to ask before. 🤍

New Blog Post Is Up-link in comments.

✨ You don’t have to have the answers before you ask for help.

So many women come into perimenopause and menopause wondering if what they’re experiencing is “normal.”

They’re exhausted.
They’re gaining weight.
They’re anxious.
They’re forgetting things.
They don’t feel like themselves anymore.

And often, they wait.

They wait until they can explain it better.
They wait until they can prove something is wrong.
They wait until they’re absolutely sure they deserve help.

But that’s not how good care works.

You don’t need to speak in medical terms.
You don’t need to have a diagnosis.
You don’t need to justify why it matters.

If something feels off, that’s enough.

Your symptoms deserve attention.
Your concerns deserve to be heard.
And you deserve a provider who will help you make sense of what you’re experiencing.

💚 Asking for help isn’t a sign that you don’t have the answers.

It’s often the first step toward finding them.

Excited to be taking the next steps toward bringing Ascend Hormone Care to Texas! 🎉

I’m currently looking for a collaborating physician, ideally in the Abilene or DFW area, to support this expansion.

If you have a connection or know someone who may be interested, I’d be incredibly grateful for an introduction. Feel free to send me a DM!

Thank you for helping me expand access to quality hormone and menopause care for women across Texas. 💛

Women are often taught to minimize their symptoms and wait until things get worse before seeking help.

But you don’t have to hit a breaking point to deserve care.

You don’t have to walk into your appointment with the diagnosis already figured out—that’s our job.

If something feels off, that’s enough reason to be seen, heard, and taken seriously.

Ascend Hormone Care…built with a vision bigger than four clinic walls.

Care that meets women where they are.
Care that listens.
Care that understands real life.

From mountain towns to busy cities, women deserve access to thoughtful, evidence-based hormone care that actually fits their lives.

This is only the beginning. 🤍

Before giving advice, we should understand the life it has to fit into.

When I tell someone to eat more protein, prioritize sleep, manage stress, or start lifting weights… I also need to understand the context of their life.

Are they a single mom with a five-year-old?
Working nights?
Running on four hours of sleep?
Caring for aging parents while trying to hold everything else together?
Pouring into everyone else before themselves?

Healthcare should never be one-size-fits-all.

Real care means seeing the whole person — their stress, responsibilities, limitations, goals, capacity, and season of life, not just their symptoms.

Because the best treatment plan isn’t the “perfect” one on paper.

It’s the one that actually fits your real life.
