Sometimes you just have to stop being a homebody, put on something other than your farm clothes, and get out of the house! 😂

A little concert in the park, good music, good company, and a whole lot of laughing… turns out leaving the homestead every once in a while isn’t so bad. 🎶

There’s just something about mornings on the farm.

The sun slowly climbs over the fields, the dew still clings to the grass, the chickens are already demanding breakfast, and the rest of the animals remind you that sleeping in isn’t an option 😳

It’s not always quiet. It’s not always easy. Especially when Captain Barbossa gets in his head butting moods. But it’s honest. It’s simple. And it’s the kind of life that teaches gratitude in the little things.

Before the busyness of the day begins, these moments remind me that God’s mercies are new every morning—and His creation never stops pointing back to Him.

There is just something about making things with my own hands that brings me peace.

Whether it’s mixing herbs, canning fresh food, baking sourdough, creating something new, or making hair conditioner because my husband ran out 😂… it quiets the noise. It reminds me that slow living isn’t wasted living.

In a world that always demands more, creating reminds me to simply breathe, be grateful, and enjoy the work of my hands.

Maybe that’s why God gave us the ability to create, because sometimes healing looks a lot like making something beautiful.

The chickens don’t care what day it is… and honestly, neither do I. There’s something peaceful about starting the morning with muddy boots, fresh eggs, and a little time on the homestead.
