Take a virtual 3D tour here: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=rSUGrS412JA Hospice of the Golden Isles provides expert, compassionate care to those diagnosed with a life limiting illness. When a cure is no longer likely, we offer holistic care that enriches quality of life and allows the patient to remain in control of their own healthcare decisions. We offer comfort care, also called palliative c

are, which is designed to manage pain and symptoms so that those receiving it can enjoy the rest of their lives as fully as possible. We understand the physical, emotional, spiritual and financial needs of each patient and their family. We affirm life and, through the personalized services of our highly-trained medical and non-medical teams, give hospice patients the ability to live well, with grace and dignity through the end of their lives.

G is for Goals.

Hospice care starts with one important question: What matters most to you?

For some, the goal may be staying at home. For others, it may be better symptom control, spending meaningful time with family, maintaining independence, or simply having more good days.

Hospice isn’t about giving up—it’s about making sure the care you receive reflects your goals, your wishes, and your definition of quality of life.

Because when we understand what matters most, we can help make every day count. 💙

F is for Families 💙

Hospice care doesn’t just surround the patient—it supports the entire family.

From helping caregivers understand what to expect, to providing emotional and spiritual support, education, respite, and bereavement services, hospice walks alongside families through every step of the journey.

Because when someone you love is facing serious illness, you deserve care, guidance, and support, too.

🎒 Back to Basics: The ABCs of Hospice Care
F is for Families—because hospice care is family care.

E is for Earlier Referrals. 💙

Hospice is designed to provide more than care in the final days. An earlier referral gives patients and families more time to experience the full benefits of hospice—better symptom management, medications and equipment, caregiver education, emotional and spiritual support, and a team to help navigate the journey.

More time means more opportunities to manage symptoms before they become a crisis, support caregivers, honor goals, and focus on quality of life.

Don’t wait for the next hospitalization or crisis to start the conversation.

💙 Refer earlier. Support sooner. Make every day count.

🎒 Back to School. Back to Basics. ✏️

Today’s ABC of Hospice is D is for Disease Progression. 💙

When you see someone every day, gradual changes can be easy to miss. More trips to the hospital, increasing weakness, weight loss, needing more help with daily activities, or treatments that aren’t working like they once did can all signal that an illness is progressing.

These changes don’t automatically mean it’s time for hospice—but they are a reason to start the conversation.

Recognizing the signs earlier gives patients and families more time to discuss goals, understand their options, and put additional support in place before the next crisis.

📚 Know the signs. Start the conversation. Know your options.

A sweet thank you to Brunswick Memorial Park for thinking of our patients at the Robinson Center! 💐🧁

Your generous donation of beautiful flowers and delicious cupcakes brought a little extra color, sweetness, and joy to our residents’ day. It’s thoughtful gestures like these that remind us just how special our community truly is.

Thank you for helping us make our patients feel loved and remembered. 💙

🎒 Back to School. Back to Basics. ✏️

Today we’re continuing our ABCs of Hospice with C is for CHOICE! 💙

When you or someone you love needs hospice care, remember: you have the right to choose your hospice provider. A hospital, physician, facility, or other healthcare provider may make a recommendation, but the final decision belongs to you and your family.

Ask questions. Compare services. Know your options. And choose the hospice that best aligns with what matters most to you.

Because when it comes to your healthcare…

💙 Your care. Your voice. Your choice.

🎒 B is for Benefits of Hospice 💙

Back to School. Back to Basics.

Hospice care is about so much more than medical care. It supports the whole person—and the whole family.

The hospice benefit can include:

* 🩺 Expert medical care and symptom management
* 💙 Emotional support for patients and loved ones
* 🙏 Spiritual care based on each person’s individual beliefs and wishes
* 👨‍👩‍👧 Education and support for caregivers and families
* 🕊️ Bereavement and grief support for loved ones before and after a loss
* 🏠 Medications, medical equipment, and supplies related to the hospice diagnosis
* 🤝 A full interdisciplinary team working together to provide comfort and support

Hospice isn’t just about caring for someone at the end of life. It’s about surrounding patients and families with physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the journey—and continuing to care for loved ones through grief and bereavement.

Know the benefit. Know your options. Know that you don’t have to walk this journey alone. 💙
