"The lineage is a container that holds every tool a practitioner needs to learn, to practice and, eventually, to share with future generations."

This comparative article explores the traditional learning methods used in systems such as Thai Medicine to modern approaches to learning and education.

In my experience, people can sometimes misinterpret traditional approaches to learning and instead end up cobbling different techniques, teachings and ideas together to make it all fit into the practice they want to create. This can be frustrating for a practitioner and leave them feeling like something is missing or like they cannot access the guidance they need.

Traditional learning is not for everyone, but it does allow one to go deep into a practice that serves for a lifetime.
