The Nurtured Mama is taking a break.

Did you know?

Most health insurance plans are required to provide breastfeeding support, counseling, and equipment throughout your breastfeeding journey including support both before and after baby arrives, but unfortunately every plan for women is not created equal.

"Covered" doesn’t always mean every provider, every service, or every visit is covered the same way.

Before scheduling lactation care, I always recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to verify your individual benefits.

Breastfeeding wasn’t always easy for my son and I. We did a lot of adapting along the way early on. The difference between quitting and continuing, struggling and thriving was our IBCLC Heather. 💓

I will also be accepting breastmilk donations to distribute to flood victims.
