Goldilocks Pediatrics will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. ❤️

We hope all of our Goldilocks families enjoy a safe, relaxing holiday weekend filled with sunshine, family, and a little well-deserved rest! ☀️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We will return to our regular office hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

As always, if your little one has an urgent medical need while we are closed, please seek appropriate urgent or emergency care.

🏈⚽🏐 SPORTS SAFETY STARTS HERE! 🥎🏀⚾

Fall sports are officially back, and we’re SO excited to see our Goldilocks kiddos getting out there, staying active, and having fun! 💚 But before they hit the field, court, or sidelines, let’s talk sports safety!

Here are a few simple reminders to help keep our young athletes healthy and injury-free:

💧 HYDRATE! Encourage plenty of water before, during, and after practices and games, especially on hot days.

🏃‍♀️ WARM UP & COOL DOWN! A few minutes of stretching and light activity can help prepare those muscles for action.

🪖 WEAR THE RIGHT GEAR! Make sure helmets, pads, mouthguards, supportive shoes, and other protective equipment fit properly and are used consistently.

😴 REST MATTERS! Growing bodies need recovery time. Adequate sleep and rest days are an important part of staying healthy.

🩹 DON’T PLAY THROUGH PAIN! Pain, swelling, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms shouldn't be ignored. Speak up and let a coach, parent, or medical professional know.

🌡️ WATCH FOR HEAT ILLNESS! Take breaks, seek shade, and know the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

🧠 PROTECT THAT HEAD! Any athlete with a suspected concussion should be removed from play and evaluated before returning to sports.

🥗 FUEL THEIR BODIES! Balanced meals and nutritious snacks help young athletes have the energy they need to play, learn, and grow.

Most importantly… LET THEM HAVE FUN! 🎉

At Goldilocks Pediatrics, we want our kiddos to be active, confident, healthy, and safe on and off the field!

It’s time for new backpacks, fresh school supplies, new adventures—and maybe just a few butterflies in those little tummies! 💛

At Goldilocks Pediatrics, we want to help your little ones head back to the classroom feeling healthy, happy, and ready to learn! 📚✨

Before the first bell rings, don’t forget to:
🩺 Make sure well-child visits are up to date
💉 Check that vaccines are current
👓 Schedule those vision or hearing concerns
💊 Refill any medications your child may need at school
🥪 Talk about healthy lunches, hydration, sleep, and routines
🧠 Remember that emotional health is just as important as physical health!

And most importantly—give your kids (and yourself!) a little grace. A new school year is a big transition, and it’s okay if everyone needs a little time to find their rhythm. ❤️

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who reached out to check on our office following the flooding this week. 💙

On Tuesday evening, Goldilocks Pediatrics took on about 3 inches of water. It was a long night, with Jess staying up to monitor our security cameras and closely watch our vaccine refrigerator and freezer temperatures to make sure everything remained safe.

We are incredibly blessed to share that we didn't lose any vaccines or equipment, and the damage to our office was minimal and quickly repaired. We know just how fortunate we are.

Unfortunately, many families and small businesses throughout Buckhannon weren't as lucky. Several people in our community are facing significant losses, and our hearts are with each of them as they begin to rebuild.

Moments like these remind us why we love living in a small town. ❤️ Check on your neighbors. Lend a helping hand. Make that phone call. Offer a meal. Say yes when someone needs a favor. The strength of our community has never been found in our buildings; it's found in the people who show up for one another.

Thank you again for your kindness, your prayers, and your concern for our team. We are grateful to be back caring for the children and families we love, and we're keeping everyone affected by this week's flooding in our thoughts. 💛

Over the past several days, our community has faced unimaginable challenges, but we've also witnessed something truly inspiring—the incredible strength, compassion, and resilience of our neighbors. ❤️

We are happy to share that Goldilocks Pediatrics is OPEN and ready to care for you and your little ones! Whether your child needs a sick visit, a wellness check, vaccinations, or simply a friendly smile, we're here for your family.

As we continue to recover together, we'd like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our local emergency personnel, first responders, volunteers, utility crews, and especially the West Virginia National Guard. 🇺🇸💙 Thank you for the countless hours you've spent rescuing families, clearing roads, delivering supplies, restoring our community, and standing beside our neighbors during one of the most difficult times we've faced. Your courage, dedication, and selflessness have not gone unnoticed, and we are forever grateful.

Due to the State of Emergency and the severe flooding affecting our community, Goldilocks Pediatrics will be CLOSED today July 22, 2026!

Unfortunately, our office was also impacted by the flooding, and the safety of our patients, families, and staff is our top priority.

We know many of our families have been affected as well, and our hearts are with everyone navigating this difficult situation. Please stay safe, avoid flooded roadways, and follow all local emergency guidance.

🚨 **If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.**

We will share updates as soon as we have more information regarding reopening and rescheduling appointments.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support during this time. We are thinking of our entire community and praying for everyone's safety. 💙

The lights are on, the exam rooms are ready, and our teddy bears are waiting…Goldilocks Pediatrics is officially back in our physical office! 🎉

After spending the past week caring for our patients while working remotely, we're so excited to welcome everyone back through our doors! While we were grateful to continue serving our families from home, there's nothing quite like seeing our little patients' smiling faces in the office again.

Jess is back from vacation feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to provide the same personalized, compassionate care your family knows and loves. 💛

Whether your little one needs a well-child check, immunizations, a sick visit, a sports or school physical, or you simply have questions about their health, we're here and happy to help every step of the way.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing families for your patience, flexibility, and understanding while our office building was closed. Your kindness and support mean so much to us, and we're incredibly thankful to be part of such a wonderful community.
