Teaching “Repulse Monkey,” a movement from the Yang Style 24 Form Tai Chi sequence with our students at Kissing Tree, a local 55+ community. We’re learning to move with intention, improve body awareness, and enjoy the benefits of mindful movement one step at a time.
Learning Tai Chi through the Tai Chi for Health Institute created by Dr Paul Lam provides a gentle, low-impact exercise that combines slow, flowing movements, balance, coordination, and mindful breathing to support overall health and well-being.
✨ Benefits of practicing Tai Chi may include:
🍃 Improved balance and coordination
🍃 Better mobility, flexibility, and body awareness
🍃 Stress relief and relaxation
🍃 Support for fall prevention and confidence with movement
🍃 Gentle exercise that can be adapted for different fitness and ability levels
Tai Chi is about more than memorizing movements. It’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with your body, build confidence, and support healthy aging through consistent practice.
Whether you're exploring fitness, balance exercises, fall prevention, or mindful movement for overall wellness, Tai Chi offers a welcoming way to keep moving at your own pace. ☯️
