Your Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service will be closed on Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 for Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day, but programming will continue 24/7 with some holiday changes. Here are Monday's changes:

~ 9 AM to 10 AM This Day in History, including constitutional law issues.

~ 10 AM to 11 AM Disability News from various publications.

~ Noon to 1 PM The short story Labors of the Heart by Claire Davis about the chance for love for the first time.

~ 1 PM to 2 PM The short story That Fall by Judith Zimmer about the first Halloween after 9/11.

~ 4 PM to 5 PM Decoded: The Untold Stories of Native Veterans.

~ 5 PM to 6 PM The Rumpelstiltskin Effect of relief from receiving a medical diagnosis.

Mark your calendar for Friday, October 2 as your Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service begins a new best seller for late night listeners!

The Shakespeare Ladies Club by Christine and Jonathan Hainsworth is a fascinating portrayal of the small group of women hailed by the authors as the savior of William Shakepeare.

Formed in 1736, the Club is considered the first secular book club. These women used their wealth and influence to fight against a post-Puritan culture that viewed theatre as immoral.

Listen Fridays and Saturdays from 11 PM to 1 AM beginning Friday through October 16.

You can also hear two hours of best sellers Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6 AM to 8 AM on your Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service.

It was a great pleasure for your Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service to speak with the Batavia Lions Club! It is an incredibly active group and has been very gracious in their support.

Lions are an amazing community service organization always looking for new members to join their many chapters around the region. As they say, some people live an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference in the world. Lions don't have that problem.
