It’s that time again!! We are about to start planning the 2027 Gallery exhibition season! ARTISTS: this is your time to apply. We will consider both solo and group exhibitions. Here is how to submit:
Between June 1 - July 31, 2026
•Email Alicia at [email protected] with “Gallery Proposal 2027” in subject
•5-10 images/examples of you work
•Brief exhibition statement/goals
The gallery operates on a low rental and commission basis. Details will be shared with all that apply. Feel free to reach out to with any questions! We are so excited to see what you’re working on :)

A peek during install at Shuman Yu’s “Toast to My Dead Culture” opening this Friday, May 8, 2026 from 5-7pm. Our May student showcase starts off with Nichols Class of 2026 Artist, Shuman Yu with their exhibition “Toast to My Dead Culture”
Artist Statement: “My work investigates the forces that have silenced and reshaped my cultural identity, asking what has led to centuries of erasure, distortion, and the loss of untold stories. Through a series of life-size, surreal oil portraits, I construct a continuous narrative that traces the journey of a woman from birth in a male dominated society, through cultural dislocation to a symbolic death, yet not an end. Figures in my paintings exist between presence and absence, often fragmented or faceless, reflecting both historical omission and internal conflict. My work seeks not only to mourn what has been lost, but to reclaim voice, the rebellious spirit that refuses to be buried, and instead speaks through the silence.“
Shuman’s work will be up from May 1-12, with a reception Friday May 8 from 5-7. We hope you stop out and show your support to this incredible young artist!

You have given so many artists th opportunity to show their work and make their voice heard. We are all grateful for what you do for us and the larger art community.
