A nurse.
A school bus driver.
A massage therapist.
Someone working a full-time job who couldn't make another school's schedule work.

These are some of the answers we got when we asked reflexologists what they were doing before they found reflexology.

And then there were the people who simply went for a reflexology session and thought...

I want to know how to do THAT.

That's the thing about starting a reflexology course. You don't need to already be working in wellness. You don't need a background in anatomy. And you definitely don't need to have your future reflexology business all figured out.

You can just be curious.

Maybe you're looking for something you could build into a new career.

Maybe you'd like to add something different to the work you already do.

Maybe you've been thinking about reflexology for two years, like one of our students did, but you've been too nervous to actually jump in.

Or maybe you had one really good reflexology session and haven't stopped thinking about it since.

That's enough of a place to start.

Our 300-hour Clinically-Based Foot Reflexology Certification has no prerequisites. The theory is online and self-paced, and then we get together for the hands-on work where you actually learn what your hands are doing and why.

Our next live online class is September 26 & 27.

If you've been wondering whether reflexology could be for you, come take a look.

Your Body Is Far More Intelligent Than We Realise

Think about what your body does every second without you even thinking about it:
Your heart beats
Your lungs breathe
Your digestive system works
Your hormones communicate
Your nervous system continually sends messages
Your cells repair and renew

The human body is extraordinary, reflexology doesn't force change, it is a gentle modality.

With reflexology, different areas of the feet, hands, face and ears correspond with different parts and systems of the body.

Rather than focusing only on one symptom, reflexology works holistically, with the intention of supporting the whole person and encouraging the whole body and mind towards greater balance.

One of the things I still find fascinating after more than 25 years as a reflexologist is how differently each person's body responds, all qualified reflexologists across the world notice that 🙏👍

We don't tell the body what to do.

We provide stimulation and relaxation, and allow that wonderfully intelligent body to respond in its own way.

Your body has been looking after you your entire life. However, due to various experiences in your life, you may have issues with your body and mind/emotions. Perhaps it is time to support yourself to support it all to function in a more balanced way.

🔬NEW REFLEXOLOGY RESEARCH | 2026

A recent clinical trial explored the effects of foot reflexology on restless legs syndrome (RLS) and sleep quality in people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The findings are encouraging, with participants experiencing improvements in restless legs symptoms and sleep quality following the reflexology intervention.

Research like this is important as we continue to build the evidence base around reflexology and its potential role as a complementary approach to supporting wellbeing and symptom management.

An interesting point from the authors: the study recommends that nurses receive reflexology training. This recommendation relates to the potential integration of reflexology into supportive nursing care. It should not be interpreted as suggesting that reflexology is exclusively a nursing intervention or should only be provided by nurses. Professionally trained reflexologists already practise reflexology as a dedicated complementary therapy.

Focus and concentration are about much more than willpower. They rely on a complex interplay between the brain, nervous system, sleep quality, stress levels, energy, and emotional wellbeing. When we're tired, overwhelmed, anxious, or constantly distracted, it's only natural for our ability to concentrate to suffer.

One of the biggest influences on focus is the nervous system. When we're in a prolonged state of stress, the brain prioritises survival over higher-level thinking. This can make it harder to concentrate, retain information, make decisions, or stay present in the moment.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that encourages deep relaxation and supports nervous system regulation. By helping the body shift from a heightened state of stress into a calmer, more balanced state, reflexology may help create the conditions that support clearer thinking and improved concentration.

Regular reflexology sessions may also support better sleep, improved body awareness, and healthier energy levels—all of which play an important role in cognitive performance. While reflexology is not a treatment for conditions such as ADHD or other cognitive disorders, many people find it beneficial as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing.

When the body feels calmer, the mind often follows. 🧠

Sometimes, improving focus isn't about trying harder. It's about giving your brain and body the opportunity to slow down, reset, and function at their best.

Your Body is Always Communicating and is incredibly wise.

Sometimes it whispers before it shouts:
A little more fatigue
A little less energy
Interrupted sleep
A busy mind
Muscle tension
Digestive discomfort

These may simply be signs that your body is asking for more balance.

Reflexology is a gentle, natural therapy that aims to encourage deep relaxation while supporting the body's own ability to restore balance. Every organ and body system is reflected on the feet, hands, face and ears. By stimulating these reflexes, the body responds to that which means the whole person is supported rather than focusing on just one area.

When your body feels more balanced, life often feels easier too.

Small steps towards better wellbeing can make a remarkable difference over time.

One of the most beautiful things about reflexology is that it invites us to look beyond the obvious.

The feet may be where the work begins, but they’re never separate from the person who walks in - their habits, their pace, their pressures, their history, the way they move through the world.

That’s the quiet depth of this work. It doesn’t reduce anyone to “just feet.” It meets the whole person, gently and respectfully, one step at a time. 👣
