Low iron is a real bummer. Symptoms of low iron are chronic fatigue, listlessness, pale skin, dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Despite iron being an essential element, a lot of people suffer from iron deficiency. It is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world affecting more than 2 billion people.

Dandelion and Nettle, both nutrient rich and whose leaves have a high iron content and enhance the absorption of iron from other sources can help provide iron and increase iron absorption greatly if taken on a regular basis. A quart of nettle infusion contains more than 1k mg of calcium, 5k IU of vitamin A, 760mg of vitamin K, 15mg of IRON and most B vitamins. Women ages 19-50 need 18mg a day. Adding vitamin C from Rose Hips increases the absorption of non heme (plant) sources of iron. The abundant minerals and vitamins from these herbs are nourishing to the body as well and make a great daily wellness tonic.

To make the Iron Up herbal infusion add 2 tablespoons to 4 cups hot water and let it infuse overnight. Strain the next day and enjoy :)
