What is stimming? 💛

Stimming (self-stimulatory behavior) includes repetitive movements or sounds that help individuals regulate their sensory input, emotions, and overall experience of the world.

For many individuals with autism, stimming is a natural and meaningful way to cope, communicate, and feel in control.

✨ It’s not “bad behavior”
✨ It’s not something to automatically stop
✨ It serves a purpose
