You are not a burden. Your story, your needs, and your support system matter.

Join next Thursday us for the Sickle Cell Disease & Trait Community Group in Los Angeles as we hold space for an honest and supportive conversation on navigating guilt, dependence, chronic illness, and caregiver support.

This gathering is designed for warriors, caregivers, families, and community members to connect, learn, and be reminded that receiving support is not weakness — it is part of healing, resilience, and community care.

As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind our community that mental health is an important part of sickle cell care.

Living with sickle cell disease can bring physical pain, medical trauma, uncertainty, grief, isolation, and emotional exhaustion. Warriors should not have to carry all of that alone.

Mental wellness may look different for everyone. For some, it is therapy. For others, it is rest, prayer, journaling, support groups, community connection, or simply having someone believe their pain.

At Cayenne Wellness Center, we continue to advocate for care that sees the whole person , not just the diagnosis.

This Wellness Wednesday, check in with yourself or a loved one. Ask:
“How is my heart doing, not just my body?”

And as we move toward World Sickle Cell Day, we invite you to join us on June 19, 2026 for the 7th Annual World Sickle Cell Day Marathon as we continue working to close the survival gap and build stronger support systems for the sickle cell community.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. We recognize the sacrifice of service members and the families who carry their legacy forward.

From all of us at Cayenne Wellness Center & STAC, thank you. May we continue to honor their courage not only today, but every day.

Let us unite across borders and communities to close the survival gap.

On June 19, Cayenne Wellness Center invites warriors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, community-based organizations, and allies from around the world to join us for the 7th Annual World Sickle Cell Day Marathon.

This year’s theme, “Closing the Survival Gap: Equity in Sickle Cell Disease,” is a call to action. Every warrior deserves access to quality care, trusted education, life-saving resources, and a community that sees, hears, and supports them.

Whether you are living with sickle cell disease, caring for someone who is, working in healthcare, leading advocacy efforts, or simply wanting to learn more, this marathon is for you.

Together, we can raise awareness, strengthen global partnerships, and move closer to equity for every warrior.
