Suzi Reader Holistic Living

Suzi Reader Holistic Living I'm a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach & Grief Educator. I help caregivers & people in grief. I would love to hear about your loved one.

I am a certified holistic wellness coach through the International Association of Wellness Professionals, a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a Certified Grief Educator through the teachings of David Kessler, the preeminent expert on grief counseling and author of The Five Stages of Grief and Finding Meaning. Walking alone on the road from loss to a life of meaning can be

dark and scary. It’s easy to get lost in anger, fear, and complex feelings of guilt. In my coaching, I use a unique holistic lifestyle approach to help light the way. I found my way to holistic wellness coaching and grief education after the loss of my mother and sister to cancer within six months of each other. Caring for them through their transitions left me utterly depleted and compounded my grief. I began questioning everything in my life, knowing their lives and deaths had forever changed me. Whether you are a caregiver experiencing the day-to-day struggles of anticipatory grief or a bereaved struggling with complex feelings after losing your loved one, I can help you find healing and transformation. While the pain from losing a loved one will never completely go away, through a holistic process of self-discovery you can find peace and meaning. Please contact me to book a free 45-minute discovery session to see if I am the right fit for you.

Hey Burbank Friends! I’m so excited because Tansy has offered me their MAGICAL space for a FREE Grief and Healing Circle on Nov 1.

The event will be dedicated to honoring our loved ones who have passed- or just sharing our collective grief for the events transpiring in the world at the moment. There will be a beautiful altar for photos, notes and mementos. We will be doing grief movement which is a practice that combines seated yoga with intentions and breath-work. There will also be a brief Japa meditation and community sharing.

It’s an auspicious day because it’s the Day of the Dead and All Souls Day. It’s also a powerful time in astrology for energy clearing and community.

I would absolutely love to see you. Here is the eventbrite to sign up: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/day-of-the-dead-grief-healing-circle-tickets-745599727857?utm_experiment=control_share_listing&aff=ebdsshios

It is still dark. The glow from my phone shows 3:30 AM. I hear my husband sleeping beside me. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. I recollect that…

Grace is knowing there is no room to judge when there is only love.

Grace is knowing there is no room to judge when there is only love.

Grief is personal. Grief is fluid. Grief comes and it goes and then it smashes us down. Some of us grieve openly. Others hide their grief away. Some grieve alone in darkness. Some want to share it with others. Some find peace in speaking their loved one’s name. Others can’t say their name without tears. Some are years down the track. Others are raw and their grief is fresh. Whatever grief is to you, don’t judge others for how they deal with it. As no two fingerprints are the same, so it is with grief. No matter what the loss, that persons grief is real and painful to them. So please don’t judge. Please don’t assume. Pleas edit t out time limits on a persons pain. Please be patient and kind. Please let people express their grief however they see fit.

One of the most powerful healthy habits you can create is scheduling a weekly meal prep. Many people avoid this because they feel it takes up too much time. But the reality is, blocking out some time on the weekend to shop and prep actually saves you time during the week. It also insures that you always have something healthy at your fingertips. But I think the best thing about meal prepping is that it helps you stress less. We all know that stress can lead to a lot of mental and physical imbalances. So what are you waiting for?!?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To get you started here are four Suzessentials for meal prepping:
1) Break it up into parts. Doing the shopping and prepping all at once is exhausting. Make sure you schedule it and give yourself a good break in between.
2) Make it fun. Listen to some music that gets you dancing or listen to something gripping like a murder mystery to make the time fly.
3) Invest in good equipment. Let's face it, aesthetics are important if you want to stick with it! If your storage containers are old and mismatched, invest in some pretty ones that you are excited to fill. If your knives suck get some new ones, and treat yourself to a special cutting board while you're at it. I swear this will make a huge difference!
4) Designate a special space in your fridge preferrable at eye level. Every time you open it you will see your beautifully stacked storage containers and be excited to eat healthily!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not sure what to make? Why not start with my November Meal Guide? It contains 27 easy-to-prep meals plus a handy shopping checklist. Click the link in my bio to download! And please post a photo of your meal prep in your stories and tag me! I'd love to see what you make!
Your best life starts now.

Suz
