ABA doesn’t only happen during therapy sessions. 🤍

Caregiver training gives parents and caregivers the knowledge and practical skills they can use to support their child throughout everyday life.

Families can learn how to apply ABA principles, reinforce desired behaviors, respond to challenging behaviors, and create opportunities for children to practice skills outside of therapy.

Before we can support motivation, we need to understand what matters to the individual. 🤍

A preference assessment helps an ABA team systematically identify items and activities a person prefers and how strong those preferences may be.

That information can then be considered when selecting potential reinforcers to support desired behaviors and engagement during learning.

Preferences can change, too - which is why understanding the individual is an ongoing part of creating personalized ABA support.

Behavior is communication. 💙

When a child screams to ask for a snack, the goal isn’t simply to stop the screaming. The bigger question is: What are they trying to communicate, and have we taught them another way to do it?

What if play could also be a way to support development? 🧸🤍

Through our Adaptive Skills program, Promise ABA uses a DIR Floortime therapy approach to support children in areas such as communication, social skills, self-care, play and leisure, and behavior.

The Adaptive Skills program is available to children ages 0 and up, with transitional planning available for school-age Adaptive Skills (ages 3–13) when needed.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to early intervention. 🤍

Promise ABA’s Early Start program begins by understanding where your child is today and identifying the areas where they may benefit from additional support.

Our ABA approach helps us assess needs, identify target behaviors, and create individualized goals focused on developmental milestones.

And we don’t work alone. We coordinate with speech, occupational, and physical therapists to help create a collaborative approach to your child’s care.

Because early intervention is about more than therapy, it’s about building the right support around your child.

At Promise ABA, we believe good and ethical ABA starts with understanding - not simply trying to stop a behavior.

We ask:
What is the child communicating?
What barriers are getting in the way?
What skills or support might be missing?

Adaptive skills help children navigate everyday life from communicating and connecting with others to playing, building independence, and regulating behavior. 🤍

Promise ABA’s Adaptive Skills program is available to children ages 0 and up and uses a DIR Floortime approach to support communication, social skills, self-care, play and leisure, and behavior.

Our team conducts a Functional Emotional Assessment and creates a Sensory Profile to better understand each child’s needs. From there, individualized goals are developed to support developmental milestones and sensory regulation.

When needed, we can also create a transitional plan for school-age Adaptive Skills for children ages 3–13.

Because progress looks different for every child and the right support should, too.

Early intervention can be an important first step in supporting your child’s development. 🤍

Promise ABA’s Early Start program is designed for children ages 0–3 who have been newly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delays.

Using an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach, our team assesses each child’s needs, identifies areas to target, and develops individualized goals to support developmental milestones.

We also coordinate care with speech, occupational, and physical therapists because supporting a child’s development works best when everyone is on the same team.
